FRED SCHADICK
Funeral services for Fred Schadick, whose death occurred at the ranch on West Orange avenue Wednesday, were conducted on Friday afternoon from the Bed Baptist church. Rev. H. G. D. mel, pastor of the church, isiciated, assisted by the former pastor, Rev. O. R. Schroeder. But was in Anaheim cemetery Hilgenfeld funeral home in chase.
REV. OSCAR LOMPE
Funeral service for Rev. O. Lompe, 78, a retired minister of the Lutheran church who Friday evening at his home in Wintersburg, were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Glutenan church. Rev. C. H. Hunziker officiated and buried in Olive Lawn cemetery, Hilgenfeld funeral home in chase.
Rev. Lompe was a native Germany, but came to America the age of 18 and resided in California nearly five years. He survived by his widow, Pauline Lompe; two sons, Oscar G. Huntington Beach and Alfred Lompe of Waterloo, Iowa; daughter, Elizabeth Lompe of Huntington Beach, and 11 grandchildren.

D. W. Powell, 48, a native of California and for a number of years a resident of Coalinga, unexpectedly in his automobile Friday morning. He had died with his family to this vicinity a vacation, and was stricken denly. He leaves his widow, sons, one daughter, his mother and several brothers and sisters.

General services for Fred Schafer whose death occurred at his home on West Orange avenue last Tuesday, were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Bethel First church. Rev. H. G. Dyman pastor of the church, officiated, assisted by the former pastor Rev. O. R. Schroeder. Burial in Anaheim cemetery with funnel funeral home in charge.

Budget Discussed by Health Board
"At the July meeting of the board of directors of the Orange County Tuberculosis and Health association, Ltd., held Monday, budget and financial matters were discussed," according to Mrs. Merrill W. Hollingsworth, new secretary of the board.
"The association has kept within the budget to date; $4867.28 has been expended during the first six months of the year and there is a cash balance of $2819.21 in the treasury which amount should carry the association until 1935 campaign funds are received in November.
"The Dr. Margaret Baker memorial fund established at the annual meeting, held in April, was voted a permanent fund, with only the proceeds to the fund to be used by the association in examining needy persons at the weekly early diagnostic clinic which it conducts.
"The weekly diagnostic chest clinic has served 139 adults and 40 children during the first six months of 1939."

Test rites for Mrs. Anna U. Herer, 69, who died at her home Santa Ana on Monday, were acted yesterday afternoon in the Hilgenfeld funeral home burial in Anaheim cemetery. J. H. Odgers of Santa Ana assisted by Rev. R. Kells Barton. Bircher was a native of Edith M. DeHaven, 69, were conducted this afternoon from the Hilgenfeld funeral home, followed by burial in Westminster cemetery.
Mrs. DeHaven, a resident of Stanton for nearly seven years, died Tuesday morning. She is survived by her husband, John H. DeHaven; four step-daughters; two step-sons, 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One of the step-daughters is Mrs. King Rutledge of Stanton.
