Music Conservatory will Open Thursday The Honolulu Conservatory of Music will open a studio in Anaheim next Thursday, it was announced this week by F. W. Bennett, who will be in charge of the studio. The school will be located in the I. O. O. F. hall. Victor Levy has been selected as the instructor for the studio here. He has had 15 years' experience as a music teacher and is an expert on the Hawaiian, Spanish and tenor guitar. These instruments will be featured, and will be the simplified method of learning to play, Beanett said. Postoffice to Open Saturday Afternoon General delivery and parcel post windows at the Anaheim post office will remain open on Saturday afternoon, December 11 and 18, it was announced yesterday by Postmaster L. H. Hoskias. This service is being rendered because of the heavy demands on postal facilities during the Christmas holidays. Novel uses of stainless steel to be displayed at the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition will include an entire house built of stainless steel. Meat Building to Be Erected Here Building in Anaheim during the past week was active with six permits having a total valuation of $9,921 issued by Building Inspector R.Nyboe. One of the permits was for a $5,000 wholesale meat structure to be erected at 816 N.Los Angeles street by Ray J.Mahoney. A permit for $2,000 was granted to E.Gladys Miller for alterations to a dwelling at 560 S.Dinkel street. Alterations to a store front at 508 W.Center street will cost J.E.Schumacher $1500. Mrs.Ruth M.Betow Is Called by Death Mrs.Ruth May Betow, 34 daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Earl T.Richardson, passed away last evening at the family home on the Anaheim-Olive road after an extended illness. She was a native of California but resided in Iowa for a number of years until she returned to California more than seven years ago. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.Earl T.Richardson and one sister, Mrs.P.W.Schmitz of Waterloo.Iown. Funeral services will be conducted from the Hilgenfeld funeral home tomorrow at 2 o'clock.The Rev.F.E.Hawes,pastor of the First Baptist church of Fullerton, will officiate and interment will be made in the Anaheim cemetery. Plan Structure For 4-H Exhibits Plan Structure For 4-H Exhibits D. Eyman Huff of Orange announced today that the California State Fair board, of which he is a member, is ready to go ahead with construction of the new $200,000 4-H club building on the state fair grounds, one of the most complete structures of its kind in the United States. The board has returned the plans to the state architect's office with the request that bids be asked. It is hoped to have the building in readiness for the 1038 fair. The new building, which will be situated in the general proximity of the present judging sheds, will be two stories in height and built along modified Mission lines. The second floor will contain dormitories for the exhibitors. The 4-H club membership in California is now in excess of 11,000, and the exhibit of livestock at the State Fair comes as a climax of the year's work.
