But it was in the year 1872 that Mr. Byron Jackson (see illustrations above) undertook the manufacture of centrifugal pumps to insure irrigation of the fertile lands of California. During the 65 years which have followed, the efficiency of Byron Jackson Pumps has increased step by step with the growth of agriculture in cur Golden State. The organization, which still bears the name of its founder, has grown and prospered due to its long established policy of offering efficient products and dealing fairly with all its customers. THE PUMP THAT IS YEARS AHEAD And now, based upon the experience gained through 65 years, comes "the pump that is years ahead" — BYRON JACKSON SUBMERSIBLE — with patented features and exclusive advantages which cannot be overlooked by anyone interested in pumping water at the lowest possible cost with practically no down time or renair expense. Examine the large illustration at right, and then read the following short description. The exclusive, vital feature of the BYRON JACKSON SUBMERSIBLE is a motor submerged in water beneath the turbine type pump which it drives. The pump and motor are closely connected, thus eliminating the long drive shaft needed with deerwell turbine numps. This means that the SUBMERSIBLE will operate successfully in wells which are too crooked to permit the regular deen well pump to operate. Substantial power savings are possible with the SUBMERSIBLE because it is not necessary to rotate a long shaft rubbing in many bearings. PROVED BY SIX YEARS OF SERVICE Following the BYRON JACKSON Policy of never offering a product until it has been tested and proved in every detail, SUBMERSIBLE Pumps have been operating continuously for more than six years to demonstrate beyond question their many advantages PROVED BY SIX YEARS OF SERVICE Following the BYRON JACKSON Policy of never offering a product until it has been tested and proved in every detail, SUBMERSIBLE Pumps have been operating continuously for more than six years to demonstrate beyond question their many advantages and low maintenance cost.
