feasibility of reducing the size of line from 27 inches and 30 inches to 24 inches and 27 inches, or lower.
Nothing definite was decided, due largely to the uncertainty whether Orange will remain in the district. That city has not received a decision on its application to the state board of health for permission to construct its own reclamation plant.
Repairs Required
The consensus of opinion of the board members was that the part of section two which has been designated as poor should be rebuilt as soon as possible regardless of federal aid or what is to be done with section one. Several expressed the opinion that if an agreement on section one cannot be reached with Santa Ana the best action would be to forget the rebuilding of that line or to lay a parallel line.
Grover Walters reported on the inspection trip of the ocean end line which has been recently repaired. He declared that a thorough inspection failed to reveal any signs of leaks in the line.
It is the present plan to remove the sheet pilings on the ocean end but to leave the trestle in place. No figure on cost of the repairs was given.
CASE DROPPED
Everett Henderson was freed today by City Judge Frank Tausch when he appeared for trial on a petty theft charge. He was released when the complain was withdrawn.
Virtue is like a new car. After you get one dent in the fender, a few more don't seem to matter.
