Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hamler Celebrate Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary Tomorrow The fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hamler of 121 N. Clementine street will be honored tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock when 27 relatives of the couple are seated for dinner at the Elks clubhouse. Open house will be kept at their home for other friends following the dinner: Relatives from Moline and Monmouth, Ill., Longview, Washington, Hollywood and Alhambra will attend the dinner, as well as those living in Anaheim which include Elva Mary Hamler, a granddaughter; Miss Edith Erickson, niece; A. D. Erickson, a nephew, and his family. Mr. and Mrs. Hamler were married April 2, 1887 at Moline, Ill. Mrs. Hamler was Miss Ida Schneider. They moved to Anaheim in 1910 and both have been prominent in civic and social activities of the city since that time. For many years Mr. Hamler was in the theatrical profession, but retired from the stage to enter the real estate business both in the east and in Anaheim. He served as city trustee of Anaheim for two terms: Several home talent plays for clubs were promoted here by Mr. Hamler, who also staged a successful carnival for the Knights of Pythias in 1911. He holds a life membership in the Elks lodge of Moline, and has been president for the past 12 years of the Moline-California club. Mrs. Hamler is a member of the Ladies Euchre club of Anaheim, a club which enjoys the distinction of having been organized for the past 50 years. They were parents of one son, who lost his life in an heroele effort to save another man from Popular Couple Exchange Marriage Vows Saturday Marriage vows were exchanged last Saturday afternoon at o'clock at the Santa Ana Wed chapel by Miss Josephine Hmond of Fulleton, daughter of J. E. Hammond of Anaheim, George E. Jones of Placentia, of Mrs. Mary Jones, also of ecentia. The Rev. David J. Brigham, tor of the Presbyterian church Placentia, read the ceremony. Mrs. C. R. Meyer of Fuller sister of the bride, served bridesmaid while Mr. Jones attended by Homer Hurst of Anaheim as best man and C. R. Meyer as usher. Miss Johanna Lemke of centia sang a group of solos fore the service, accompanied Mrs. E. Warren of Orange. A short honeymoon will spent in northern California which the couple will make home in Anaheim. Mr. Jones employed at Placentia. The new Mrs. Jones graduated from Anaheim union high school and Fullerton junior college. Jones graduated from Fuller union high school. Eastern Star at Buena Park to Mark Anniversary Marking the 31st birthday anniversary of the Buena Park Pythias in 1911. He holds a life membership in the Elks lodge of Moline, and has been president for the past 12 years of the Moline-California club. Mr. and Mrs. Hamler are the third couple in the Hamler family to celebrate a golden anniversary. Mr. Hamler's parents celebrated 50 years of marriage in 1902 while a brother, George Hamler of Alhambra, and his wife passed their 50th anniversary in 1931. Newlyweds Leave Soon for Home at Strathmore Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence R. Baker (Arne Wimberly) expect to leave Sunday for their new home in Strathmore following a week's honeymoon spent at the beach. The couple was married last Sunday evening at the Santa Ana wedding chapel. The Rev. W. I. Gough, pastor of the Anaheim Nazarine church, read the service before only a few of the bride's and groom's closest friends. Mrs. Baker is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wimberly of 202 S. Melrose street and Mr. Baker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Baker of Strathmore. The couple was attended by Miss Cecil, Wimberly and Wayne Gough. Miss Dolores Surguine played several appropriate numbers on the piano and Miss Charlotte Doane was the soloist. Young People of Church Present Play This Evening "Nancibelle," original three-act drama written and directed by Mrs. Paul Demaree, will be presented this evening at 7:30 o'clock at the K. P. hall by young people of the White Temple Methodist church. The Mozart orchestra of Anaheim union high school under the direction of J. W. Williams, and the Mozart girls double quartet directed by Miss Helene Ehlers will assist the cast. The story is woven around a romantic story of the old south and includes several well-known semi-classical songs. The stage will be set with furniture representing the 1850's and has been loaned by Mrs. Emma Grimshaw, Miss Eva Merritt, Mrs. Joshua Williams, Mrs. Carroll Yonge and Mrs. August Maass. A group of dancers from the new name was selected by the group last week after consideration was given to several suggestions. Several performances are planned by the chorus in the near future, Mrs. Ter Best said. Do You Know Who's Who?
