“Jack Sprat
Was getting fat,
And his wife was getting lean.
Their Doctor knew
Just what to do;
Now they lick their platters clean.”
Did you ever stop to think how many years a Doctor must spend in study and hospital work before the law permits him to practice the science of Medicine? Surely 8 to 10 years of preparation should induce your confidence rather than very questionable experiments. Your Druggist is also scientifically trained to cooperate with him at the Jackson Drug Co. Ramona, Outdoor Play, Opens 14th Season in April
Anticipating the largest attendance in the history of the produc- tion, committees in the twin cities of Hemet and San Jacinto are completing plans for the fourteenth annual season of "Ramona", spectacular outdoor play to be given Saturday and Sunday afternoons April 17-18, 24-25 and May 1 and 2.
The dramatic version of Helen Hunt Jackson's fervent love story of early California life is present- ed annually under the auspices of the people of Hemet and San Jacinto as a civic, non-profit enterprise. Already nearly 200,000 persons from every section of the country have witnessed the unfoldment of the play in its more than 75 performances.
Presented in fascinating Ramona Bowl near Hemet, the colorful play is performed by a cast of 250. All except the leading roles are played by townspeople who look forward each season to this noteworthy outdoor play. The acoustics of Ramona Bowl are declared to be unsurpassed.
Weeks in advance of the initial performance the people of the two cities busy themselves with details connected with the elaborate production. Soon after casting of parts rehearsals will start.
The Ramona Pageant association board of directors has named committees for the 1937 season

from danger of destruction from acid actions, especially if the treatment plant is installed.
The cost of the line was estimated at $268,200.
A double line of jetty rocks to be placed on either side of the cast iron pipe leading into the ocean was recommended. Cost of the work would be approximately $75,600, Kennedy said.
Insurance Discussed
Mac O. Robbins of Robbins-Henderson Insurance company of Santa Ana was present and discussed the proposed insurance policy on the pipe line in the ocean. The policy is for $300,000 with a premium the first year of $3,000, and if no damage was sustained a refund of $1,000 would be made to cover the payment of the premium for the second year.
On motion of Cal Lester of Orange the matter was referred to Santa Ana, as the contracting city, for action. Santa Ana, if it approves the policy, will contact other member cities. If approval is given by them Santa Ana will sign the contract.
No definite action was taken on the matter of rebuilding section two of the sewer line. Anaheim, Orange and Buena Park reported approving the engineers' committee report, while Fullerton, Placentia and La Habra chose to wait until after last night's meeting to and in charge of the 1937 season is Lloyd D. Mitchell, general manager, now in his second year in that capacity.
