Drunk Driver Pays Fine in City Court Moody Crowe, 46-year-old Long Beach resident, appeared before City Judge Frank Tausch last Saturday morning and pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated. He was fined $100, of which $50 was suspended, and his operator’s license was revoked. Crowe was arrested October 11 and has been out on bail since that time. He paid his fine. All-Saints Day to Be Honored Sunday All-Saints Day will be observed at the St. Michael’s Episcopal church next Sunday with special services being planned for 8 o’clock and 10:30 o’clock in the morning. Townsend members are also arranging to keep the headquarters Joint Meeting Hears Sheriff History of his 30 years experience as a member of the Los Angeles county sheriff's office was the theme of Sheriff Eugene Biscailuz's address to members of the Orange County Peace Officers' association and Orange County League of Municipalities who met in joint session last Thursday evening at Tustin. The Los Angeles county sheriff also discussed briefly the civil service amendment appearing on the ballot Tuesday, urging a favorable vote. The League of California Municipalities has withdrawn its endorsement of proposition 10, the gasoline tax amendment, it was declared by Louis Burke, legal counsel for the league. This action was taken, he said, because of the "in lieu tax" and the clause regarding Deisel engines. Representing Anaheim at the meeting were Mayor Charles H. Mann, Councilmen Leo J. Sheridan and M. W. Martinet, Jr., City Clerk Charles E. Griffith, City Judge Frank Tausch, Police Chief James S. Bouldin, City Engineer E. P. Hapgood and M. A. Stephenson, police officer. Thomas H. Kuchel and Thomas L. McFadden were also present. Citrus Association Changes Connection An important change in citrus marketing affiliation took place today when the Redlands Orange-dale association became affiliated with the California Fruit Growers exchange by joining the Redlands-Highlands Fruit exchange. This pioneer local group has changed to the exchange marketing system after 25 years in the Mutual Orange distributors, of which it was one of the original members. A. P. Crim is president; W. L. Thornquist, vice-president, with R. B. Cook, Douglas Armstrong, W. A. Shields, S. A. Grover, Henry Romo, L. J. Gist and W. T. Grant completing the directorate. Vinton Gregory who has been secretary and manager of Redlands Orangedale association for fourteen years will continue in that capacity.
