Joint Meeting Hears Sheriff
History of his 30 years experience as a member of the Los Angeles county sheriff's office was the theme of Sheriff Eugene Biscailuz's address to members of the Orange County Peace Officers' association and Orange County League of Municipalities who met in joint session last Thursday evening at Tustin.
The Los Angeles county sheriff also discussed briefly the civil service amendment appearing on the ballot Tuesday, urging a favorable vote.
The League of California Municipalities has withdrawn its endorsement of proposition 10, the gasoline tax amendment, it was declared by Louis Burke, legal counsel for the league. This action was taken, he said, because of the "in lieu tax" and the clause regarding Deisel engines.
Representing Anaheim at the meeting were Mayor Charles H. Mann, Councilmen Leo J. Sheridan and M. W. Martinet, Jr., City Clerk Charles E. Griffith, City Judge Frank Tausch, Police Chief James S. Bouldin, City Engineer E. P. Hapgood and M. A. Stephenson, police officer. Thomas H. Kuchel and Thomas L. McFadden were also present.
Citrus Association Changes Connection

This pioneer local group has changed to the exchange marketing system after 25 years in the Mutual Orange distributors, of which it was one of the original members.

The Old Tired Feeling Is On
"A Diller, a Dollar
Like the ten o'clock scholar,
I'm always late for work.
I feel so tired I'll sure get fired
I just don't seem to "Perk".
"Tis another story
Like Jack and Minory,
My work just seems like fun.
I've so much 'Pep' in every step
And joy in the things I've done".
"Twas just a few dollars
But I should not holler,"
I'm never feeling blue.
IT sure is fine to be on time,
THANKS—To a Doctor I knew."
A smart boy went to a smart M. D. and the Prescription reached The Jackson Drug Co. O. K.
