Regular general meeting of stockholders called to order by President J. P. Zeyn. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. The monthly report of treasurer received and referred to Messrs. C. Rust and H. Bremermann to audit. A petition from Mr. Rust, asking what damages he would receive, if the planned ditch through Lot B-6, to supply Wenzel, Hammes, and Horstmann with water, were constructed? Matter referred to incoming board of trustees, also referred to the next board of trustees the changing of ditch on lots E and F-5 to water alley. Next in order was the election of trustees of Anaheim Water company. There being no quorum present, adjournment taken to Saturday, April 14, 1866 at 8 p.m. Meeting adjourned. Louis Durr, Secretary. It makes no difference whether the misfortune is the result of natural forces, or the culmination of man's own folly, such periods of strife bring out the best in human beings. Sterling qualities of character and enterprise developed in Anaheim and Southern California when the worst earthquake in the memories of local residents rocked this district March 10.
