This would indicate an increase in population of 2500 during the two years. Born, on Monday, January 7, to Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Thompson, a daughter, weight ten pounds. A ten-pound son arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Collings, Monday morning. Funeral services over the body of Benedict Cloes were held at St. Boniface church Monday morning, Rev. Father Browne officiating, interment being in Calvary cemetery, Los Angeles. Mr. Cloes died at his home near this city Saturday. Mrs. Nina Rogers died at her home, 416 East Adele Street Sunday after a short illness. She was 44 years of age, and he been a resident of Anaheim for 15 years. Her husband, B. G. Rogers, and two sons, Alva and Elmer survive her. Funeral services were held at Backs, Terry & Campbell's parlors Tuesday, conducted by a Christian Science reader. Trustees; Clarence Amberg, master of the rolls; Frank Gavelek, stockkeeper; Charles Lange, dramatic manager. After the completion of business, President Hammel treated the members present to a well-selected lunch, and all went home with a good taste in their mouths. The week test well on Brookhurst Avenue has passed the 500-foot mark. Drillers have encountered no difficulties so far. The Coolidge club was called to meet last night at the band room in the city hall. Nearly all the cities and towns in the Southland are organizing Coolidge clubs, and an aggressive campaign will be made in behalf of the president. Mrs. Emma M. Polhemus returned to Los Angeles last week after spending an enjoyable visit during the holidays with her son Dean Polhemus.
