Mr. Bohall used to be a first-class newspaperman, from which he quite naturally graduated into the gas business. He is giving patrons good service and says he is going to keep it up or bust the tank. Mr and Mrs. Dwyer proved themselves hospitable hosts this week at a dinner party on Sunday evening and an afternoon devoted to progressive euchre on Friday. Refrsehments were served and an enjoyable afternoon participated in by all. The old-established firm of Yungbluth & Kroeger will dissolve partnership the first of the year, when each will enlarge and improve his business. The dissolution comes solely because of expanding business interests, and each will doubtless continue to prosper in future as the firm has in the past. Mr. Kroeger will occupy his building across the way with a stock of gents' furnishings, and Mr. Yungbluth will continue the present business at the old stand. The two partners part company on the best of terms, and the city will be the gainer of one new business house and an enlargement and improvement of the one already here. Success to them. A southside walnut dealer avers it is out $700 by being a member of the association. After the price was fined some weeks ago, independent brokers offered him an advance sufficient to net this amount, but he refused to sell. He is more than ever convinced the association fixed its price too low, and favors an Orange county exchange, letting the up-count growers shuffle for themselves. Range county nuts are the best grown in the state, and command the highest prices. Local growers stand firm prices, but are outvoted by poorer nuts of the upper valleys. Next year, he says, Orange county growers will go it alone. FOR SALE One 5 room modern cottage in Mira Monta avenue, near 61th Los Angeles,$3500.
