The points that will be visited by the train on the trip are as follows: On December 10, Dutch Flat, Gold Run and Colfax; on the 11th, New England Mills, Applegate, Clipper Gap, and Auburn; on the 12th, Newcastle, Penryn and Loomis; on the 14th, Fair Oaks Bridge, Florin and Elk Grove; on the 15th, Galt Acampo and Lodi; on the 16th, Milton, Stockton and Oakdale; on the 17th, Waterford, Montpellier, Merced and Atwater; on the 18th, Livings-Turlock Garces and Modesto; and seases; Prof. C. M. Haring, veterinary department; Prof. F. T. Bioleviticultural topics; Prof. E. W.jor, animal industries; and Prof. A. Hopper, dairy husbandry. The department of university extension in agriculture of the university of California, in conjunction with the Southern Pacific company and the state commissioner of horticulture, is sending this demonstration train through the state, and there is no doubt that the work accomplished by it is of great value to the horticultural interests of California. Two cars loaded with exhibits of a very practical nature are a part of the equipment of the train, and so the lecturers and demonstrators in attendance can give actual illustration of the matters touched upon in talks. The amount of deposits shows an increase of upward of $50,000 since the subsidence of the recent flurry, and are now mounting up to high-water mark.
