PORTER'S REPORT Water Superintendent Informs Water Board of Operations During Month Report of Superintendent for November, 1908.—To the Honorable Board of Directors of the A.U.W.Co. Gentlemen: Regular employees, $585. Cleaning—Moss by Nevarro, $53.25; by Sepulveda, $1.75; Fullerton-Placentia branch ditches, $69.12; to cleaning moss between section house and head of ditch, $56; labor and team work to scrape and clean the storm- and sluiceways and scrape out channel in river bed for sluicing purposes, $147.62; clean bank of cement ditch above Yorba reservoir, $15.35; cleaning Anaheim branch ditches $89.25; total, $432.34. Repairs—Teaming for repairs, $47.25; labor and team work to finish raising Tuffree ditch below reservoir $80.40; used 92 sacks cement; labor raising and repairing on ditch running north and south through Tuffree ranch, $35, used 8 sacks cement; raising and repairing and make gate on west line of Tuffree ranch, $12.50; raise ditch on east line of Bradford ranch, $12.50; raise ditch at A. B. Annin place, $13.50; repair overchute on north branch ditch and make gate for H. Schults, $31.50; repairs on south branch ditch, $17.50; total repairs, $249.90. Construction—To counting and shipping sacks, $11.25. Frentz, a former well known resident of the west country, has returned from Los Angeles after an absence of five years and has purchased the Sanborn place of 11 acres east of town. Contractor Pruitt is erecting a five-room house on the ranch, and Mr. Frentz and family will take up their residence there. W. S. Lapham and wife, Mrs. Edith Clark and Nick Carter, all of Los Angeles, visited with Mr. and Mrs. V. U. Simpson on Sunday. I hereby call a meeting of all the members of the Woman's Guild of St. Michael's church to be held in Anaheim on Friday, Dec. 11, at the residence of Mrs. Marie Zeus, at 2 p.m. Each member is earnestly requested to be present and to bring some article of sewing.
