The entertainment given by Prof. Harmen on Thursday evening last, was an exceedingly pleasant affair and most thoroughly enjoyed throughout. Owing, we think, to the short notice given, the audience was put as large as the Professor's varied talent deserves but those who were fortunate enough to come were kept in continual laughter at the humorous tricks of legordemain and grotesque impersonations of "Senator Revels" and "The Hon Miss Black." Another performance was given on Friday evening, which our early hour of going to press does not allow us to report. We shall be glad to see the Professor again. PERSONAL — Mr. J. Carlin, the gentlemanly agent of the Union Mutual Life Insurance Company, of Maine is spending a few days in town, looking after the interests of his Company. The Union Mutual is one of the very best of the Life Companies, and works upon the beneficent non-forfeiture plan. All who have not already insured their lives should do so at once and thus secure a home to the loved ones who may be left friendless when death has deprived them of their natural protectors.
