than half of the expense of the
tuberculosis sanitarium on the
Coffman ranch near Beaumont in
Riverside-co because its voting
strength is nearly 10,000 more
than the combined registration of
Riverside and Imperial-co's. It
was announced by the county supervisors today. The Coffman
ranch has been definitely decided
upon as the site for the sanitarim.
The Orange-co registration was
67,803. Riverside-co 19,061 and
Imperial-co approximately 9000.

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 — Support of contests of Ann Luther actress, that she was a star in film during when she met Jack White, Los Angeles mining millionaire, who she is using for $100,000 damages for alleged breach of a verbal contract to star her in motion pictures, was given here today in trial of the case in a deposition filed by Mabel Condon-Bridman, a well known booking agent.
THREE KILLED AS MINE CAVES IN IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich., Aug. 6—Three men were killed by a cave-in today at the Homer mine of the Buffalo Iron Mining Co. here. Two cave-ins which followed the one which entombed the trub at the seventh level seriously impeded the rescue work.
The body of one of the men Emil Kruskite has been recovered. It was unmarked, indicating he died from suffocation.
The others were Onni Oho and Melchio de Minucci.
Mr. and Mrs. H. P. H. Schneider motored to Highlands yesterday and passed the day with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Bain North.
