NILSSON PACKS
A MEAN WALLOP
The many admirers of Anna Q. Nilsson, delight and demure screen star, will no doubt be surprised at observing her ability with her flats, as evidenced in "Flowing Gold," which Richard Walton Tully has produced from Rex Beach's recent novel, and which is the First National picture now showing at the California theatre tonight, being the last show-ing.
In one sequence, Allegheny Briskow, the awkward country girl, played by Anna Q., is endeavoring to master the intricacies of the modern dance, with the assistance of a typical "cake-eating" dancing master, played by Leon White, who became a bit personat. Allegheny, or Anna, "knocks him for a row," with a swat that floors him. Not content with this rough treatment; she heaves him bodily out of a convenient window.
