"Adam and Eva" are the principals in a delightful three act play with a strong vein of comedy, and no doubt it will be one of the big hits of the season. Miss Gene McElheney, member of the graduating class of '22 has the leading role. She has taken the load in many plays, both at Anaheim high school and Fullerton Junior College and has always been most praiseworthy. Al Clayes, as Adam, is one of the popular young graduates of Anaheim and also has appeared successfully in other comedies. The show is being staged by the Alumni players and the proceeds are placed in the scholarship fund, a very worthy one. The school has sent several young folk on their way to college and plans to send more. Other members in the cast include Roscoe Ingram, Doris Eden, Marvin Ross, Emma Hunton, Laura Schutz, Wallace Walton, Roger Pohlman. At assembly yesterday at Anaheim Hi, several members of the cast gave a sketch of the play and asked for the support of the student body. The Alumni orchestra will furnish music between scenes. Love Hits Snag Harold Flader and Miss Rushia Hallaway, popular young Cypress couple were married in Santa Ana Tuesday. The bride is a sister of Mrs. J. Kelly and is well known Commercial Service The organization of a Commercial Service League was perfected at a delicious four-course dinner in the Ketner cafe, Santa Ana, on a recent evening, and the following officers were chosen: Junior post governor, R. Section Studies Past The History and Travel section of Ebell club dug into the dim and misty past yesterday as their study included the Norsemen and their country, recorded as far back as 55 B.C. Norway and Sweden were noted then as now, for its hunting and fishing. Events were followed until 800, when the first history of the Vikings or "Black Pirates" was introduced. The gradual development of the villages into kingdoms was traced which was really the start of the westward movement when the sturdy race reached America in 1000. One group of the Norsemen, under Rollo, the walker, settled in Normandie; another in Scotland and Ireland and the Shetland Isles; still another in Iceland. In the year 862 those in Sweden chose for their king Burick, whom history traces as PYTHIAN LODGE HONORED WITH THE OFFICER'S VISION THE local Temple of Pythian Sisters was honored last evening with an official visit from Mrs. Ada M. Wolfe, grand chief of Pythian Sisters of the state of California and her retinue of subordinate officers. The evening opened with a 6:30 dinner with quite one hundred grouped about the rose ladies tables. Trailing vines of small and stately callias were used effectively elsewhere. Called into secret session, the initiatory degree was conferred upon Mrs. Rose Hansen. Its beauty and solemnity of the work was emphasized through the staff's wearing for the first time in many were the complimentary marks heard. A program of readings and speeches by the visiting officer enlivened the informal hour, Mr. Talbott, of Orange, sang a group of numbers and Miss Verna Parker read two selections. Mrs. Mary Hubert, of Hamilton Ontario, Canada, an ardent Pythian worker and a woman who has been instrumental in instituting many Pythian temples in his country, was present with a message and many good suggestions. Harold is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edd Flader who are old and prominent residents in the Cypress section. The young couple thought to give their many friends the slip by quietly visiting Cupid Backs and having the knot tied in Santa Ana, but Cupid Joe found the young lady was a few months under age and refused to issue a license. Being an orphan and having no legal guardian it was necessary to appoint a guardian.
