JOINS MAN'S PARTY TUBBY
TO CURB WOMEN
LOST ANGELES, Feb. 21.—G.
F. Hutchins is the first man in California who has openly avowed his intention to join the Man's party of America to obtain for him equal rights and privileges with women.
Man have too long been the slaves and shadows of mere woman. Hutchins declares in voicing the motive that prompted him to take the initiative in the new movement here.
Clad in white-topped shoes and broad suspenders that made other articles of his attire fade into insignificance, Hutchins opined that it was about time the men of this country took some action to preserve and safeguard their rights.
"This is the most sensible movement I ever heard of," Hutchins declared. "When I heard the men's party was being formed I immediately sent a letter to Frank Jordan, California's secretary of state, and told him I endorsed the party and wanted to join it. Mr. Jordan instructed me that R. G. Pleasant at Baton Rouge, La., former governor of that state, who had originated the party, could give me more particulars. I have written Mr. Pleasant, but have not heard from him."
