Social and Fraternal AREA NEWS NEWLYWEDS OFF ON FORTNIGHT'S HONEYMOON WORLD from Mr. and Mrs. Richard Haster, who are enjoying their newly motor honeymoon to San Francisco, tells they are enjoying the trip and that the weather will all one-or-two—could depend upon their return they will be at home in Santa Ana until completion of their new residence upon the groom's ranch south of Anaheim. Miss Geraldine Piscus and Mr. Haster were married at high noon Thursday at a prettily appointed wedding at the home of the bride. With but the relatives and a few close friends present, the ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. H. Walker, pastor of the Presbyterian church. The fragrance of spring permeated the rooms as profane use of pink sweet peas and daffy white blooms were used to form the decorative features in combination with pink tulle draperies. A six course dinner was served after the ceremony, following which the bride and groom departed for the two weeks' honeymoon. One of the very pretty happenings of the day and which brought delight to the heart of the young bride, was the impromptu call of her classmates in A. U. H. S., with whom she would have graduated this spring had she not discontinued her studies there for attending the Westlake school for Girls the past two years. The bridal gown was a rich combination of reindeer fur and other fur, which formed a lovely background for her huge bouquet. On Feb. 16—(Spl.)—Mrs. John Wall, with her daughter Catherine, and two sons, Hardy and Vince, returned to after spending 15 months in Philadelphia Mission Study class at the Ellisian church, led by Mrs. Annold, was a great success. Vermillian came from East Birch-st. Tuesday into their new home in Fulham. James Bergman is visiting his her and family, Mrs. Frank Carter at Morrovia this week to operate. F. Piscus, of South Los Angeles. Junior Class Party Members of the junior class of Anaheim high school enjoyed a party last evening in the gym room. Games of various kinds were enjoyed throughout the evening hours. Miss Dorothy Winters gave several whirling solos. She was accompanied by her sister, Miss Florence Winters. Class singing and yells were also practiced. At the close of the evening, the members went to the cafeteria where they were served with banana specials. Special guests were Mrs. S. D. Winters, Miss Mabel Thayer, George Hellstorm and J. L. Van der Veen. There were about fifty present. Initiate Candidate With conferring the rites of initiation upon Mrs. Van Lear last evening the Rebekah lodge added another name to its ever growing list of membership. After the business hour a time of dancing and social games was passed. Mrs. Niewellyn provided the music. Steel Common was up 1% to 104%; Republic 2½ to 56%; Carn Products 4½ to 178%; Baldwin Locomotive 2½ to 32%; Davison Chemical 2½ to 49%, and Pacific Oil 2 to 50%. The advance in the railway was mostly fractional, altho southern railway gained 1½ to 46%. Government bonds unchanged; railway and other bonds strong.
