LUCKE MANAGER OF MIDWAY SALES The Midway City sales organization, sponsors of the thriving young community of that name at the Junction of Santa Ana and Huntington Beach-blvd., announces the appointment of R. W. Lucke as sales manager. Until recently Mr. Lucke has been sales manager for one of the largest subdivision specialists in Los Angeles and is regarded as an authority on subdivision. In connection with his appointment the owners of the tract state that the rapid growth of their sales and the extension of their organization into Orange-co. with offices in the principal cities of that county require the services of a man capable of handling the large sales force necessary to cover the field. Busses were purchased recently by the Midway City Co., and four-hour trips are given daily to prospective purchasers and home seekers. Good results are reported from the use of these buses. With one store building of three units completed and another building under way the trading center at Midway City is well established. Several homes are all ready for occupancy and others are building, while a score of purchasers' plans are being got ready for the contractors. While the building restrictions at Midway City are of a high order giving definite assurance of the erection of only sightly and permanent homes, a plan of assistance in the financing of buyers' homes has resulted in the rapid building of the community. Midway City today with its great building activity truly presents the picture of "a city in the making." The difference between the sailing of a ship and the running of an automobile is that the man of the sea is not permitted to guide his vessel unless he knows the rules of the road and forgetfulness cannot be pleaded as an excuse.
