In the second game, which the locals won 797 to 794, Evans and Efker overcame a lead of 50 pins by striking out. The three wins put Anheim well up toward the top, now having won six and lost three. The teams were evenly matched and surprises were expected to determine the meet. A large crowd, filling the stands to overflowing, was present. Weather conditions were good with the track in good shape and fairly fast. California pulled the first surprise when Saxby of the Bear team took first place in the 440 yard run, and Linstrom ran second. Stanford had been expected to take all three places in this event. REGULAR SHOOT AT COUNTY GUN CLUB The regular Sunday morning shoot of the Orange County Gun club will be held at 9 a.m. at the club grounds on North Brookhurst. It is announced that there will be several merchandise prizes to be shot for and several new shooters will be present. CUBS HIT HOMERS (By International News Service) CHICAGO, April 21. — The Cubs kept up their home run hitting today against St. Louis, Kellher and Miller hitting homers in the second. It was Kellher's third amash of the season and Miller's second. Since the season opened 19 home runs have been hit at the Cubs park. CLEANS THE BASES CHICAGO, April 21. — Bottomley, first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals, hit a home run with the bases roll in the first of the St. Louis Chicago game here today. Cheesy was pitched in. The Red Sox outhit the Yanks, but missed many chances to score. May, who started for the Yanks, was driven from the mound. INDIANS WIN FOUR (By International News Service) CLEVELAND, April 21. — The Indians won their fourth straight game from Chicago White Sox here today, 5 to 1, making a clean sweep of the series. The game ended in a heavy thunder storm. Charlie Robertson, no-hit. White Sox pitcher was slammed for 11 hits. MARRIAGE LICENSES A marriage license was issued today to Walter Pass, 27, Garden Grove, to Miss Betsey Alice Calderbank, 36, of Bolton, England. Henry M. Thompson, 42, Whittler and Susie Barr, 39, Orange, and William E. Yeater, 40, Huntington Beach, and Erma W. Shank, 27. Fullerton were also licensed to wed. S. boys baseball team a 3 to 2 victory. Carrol on Anaheim's side against Felzer of the Beach team. Carroll, Anaheim's speedy little moundsman, struck out 15 men. Huntington Beach also had a good pitcher. Neither side scored until the sixth inning when Jabs of Anaheim knocked a three-bagger and was brought in by a double from Giza. Thru an error by Beach fielders, Spencer and Easton scored by fly ball to centerfield by Swesney. The score was then 3 to 0. The first three lads on the beach team worked together and made two runs by the only error on the part of the local boys. The last man was up and the bases full. Coach Ray Elliott's men were keyed to the highest pitch, but Carroll struck out the beach men. It was a great game, the best the local boys have figured in this season. To-date, they have two victories and two losses. Felzer struck out 17 men. Both teams got seven hits. Anaheim's crack ball players are Alsip, 2b; Carroll, p; Janus, c; Spen- PIONEER ARCHITEST BURIED (By International News Service) LOS ANGELES, April 21.—The funeral of George Edward Voelkel, pioneer architect, whose sudden death from heart disease occurred Thursday night, was held at 2 p.m. today. Cremation in Los Angeles crematory followed. Mr. Voelkel drew plans for most of Los Angeles' skyscrapers. CALIFORNIA HOTEL FULLERTON R. Anderson, Redlands; Glenn H. Brown, George C. Smith, H. BANK AT CAPISTRANO The articles of incorporation of the First State Bank of San Juan Capistrano, approved by the Superintendent of Banks, were filed today. The capital is $50,000 and there are seven directors, all of Los Angeles. Of the total capital $25,000 is paid in. CYPRESS REALTY MOVING RAPIDLY Priddy & Sconce, Cypress Realtor, are moving real estate rapidly. So far this week they have sold four ranches, those of C. L. Spraker, Edd Peterson, J. K. Carhart and part of the Valentine ranch. They still have several god buys left. FORFEITS $250 BAIL George W. Pierce forfeited cash ball of $250 provided by his wife, when he failed to appear today before Justice J. B. Cox to answer the felony charge of driving a car while intoxicated. Pierce went to Texas it is said. CARS IN COLLISION An accident was reported from Elm and Lemon streets where a car owned by J. B.
