CLEVER VAUDEVILLE AT THE CALIFORNIA
What is said by the leading critic to be one of the largest and best theatre offerings ever presented in this city will appear upon the boards and screen of the California theater tomorrow. A vaudeville program, the like of which has seldom been seen here before will be featured together with a powerful motion picture program.
Probably the outstanding feature of the entire bill will be Harry Seymour and his Dazzling Girls in a whirly-girl entertainment de Luxe with lots of harmony, songs, music and life. Mr. Seymour is assisted in this act by the Misses Betty Audsley, Myra Cunard, Doris Lopez and Evelyn Francover.
It is one of the cleverest acts in vaudeville today and sure to receive a warm welcome in Anaheim. Another dandy act is Billy Smith the violinist. Billy is a whiz on the loyles and beat for entertainment. McGowan and Knox offer a knockout comedy act that is a positive screen. They are riots wherever they perform.
Louise Moody, known far and wide as the famous violinist, will present several of her most noted compositions. She is a true artist and a worth while offering. Hal Hart, the boy who does unbelievable stunts upon a wire will be a welcome additio to this all-star bill.
The California management amply took care of the photodramatic end of the program when they announced that popular Wanda Hawley would appear upon the screen in her latest comedy-drama "Bobbed Hair."
Miss Hawley has an immense following here and her picture should be received with much gratification here. It is one of the likeable modern day plays such as most theater-goers revel in, and is a winner.
Tonight will see the final performances of Charles Ray in "Smudge." He "knocked 'em dead" this afternoon and will undoubtedly repeat tonight. Come and see a dandy picture.

SEAL BEACH WELL BELOW 4200 MARK With Oil Operator
Drilling at Seal Beach has passed the 4200 mark and the snowings are not particularly strong and the outlook for a field is becoming just a little bit doubtful. The Seal Beach Oil Co is doing the field pioneering and is making a splendid effort to find oil. Prior predictions placed production between 34 and 38 hundred feet. The drill passed 3800 and found only minor showings. It is believed now that it will be necessary to go on to 4500. The condition of the hole is good, and the Seal Beach Oil Co has the equipment, tools, capital, and management to do it.
The Bandini District is fast taking on the appearances of an oil field. There are four wells drilling and a fifth rig started last week. The Bandini Petroleum Co. the plovers have a well down 4050 feet and indications show the possibility of a producer as soon as the water can be shut off. The Fullerton Oil Co, the second in the new field has a well down 2450 feet and is finding some difficulty in effecting a water shut off. The Standard Oil Co.'s McNally 2-1 is making good progress drilling at 3800 feet. The Oakridge Oil Co.of Ventura field fame has a rig up on the Fillort Randini property and will spud in in a few days.
