Jensen of the Prest-O-Lite Service Station in discussing these, says: "In using this equipment great care should be taken to connect the positive wire from the charging apparatus to the positive terminal of the battery. The same holds true with the negative to the negative. If the connections are reversed the battery will be permanently injured." "When the present state of the battery has been determined by estimating or with the hydrometer, it is simple to figure how many hours, at a certain ampere rate, should be put back to replace the power that has been used. In most instances it is advisable to overcharge the battery at every fourth or fifth charge."
