Saturday, August 19, 1922 PREST-O-LITE MAN ON BATTERY'S CARE Many owners of radio apparatus have secured devices for recharging their "A" batteries. Mr. Robert V. Jensen of the Prest-O-Lite Service Station in discussing these, says: "In using this equipment great care should be taken to connect the positive wire from the charging apparatus to the positive terminal of the battery. The same holds true with the negative to the negative. If the connections are reversed the battery will be permanently injured." "When the present state of the battery has been determined by estimating or with the hydrometer, it is simple to figure how many hours, at a certain ampere rate, should be put back to replace the power that has been used. In most instances it is advisable to overcharge the battery at every fourth or fifth charge." "In short, charge the battery, keeping track during the process by FAMOUS 'LEATHER BOTTLE' FOR SALE LONDON, Aug. 19.—The Leather Bottle, known to Dickens Lovers the world over, is for sale. It is the "clean and commodious alehouse" in the little Kent village of Cobham. It was wintner air. Pickwich, accompanied by the faithful Snodgrass and Winkle, followed Mr. Tupman on receipt of the plaintive letter from Mr. Tupman which announced that he had been "deserted by a lovely and fascinating creature." He wrote to Pickwich: "Any letter addressed to me at "the Leather Bottle," Cobham, Kent," will be forwarded—supposing I still exist. I histen from the sight of the world which has become odious to me." The old inn contains many Dickens relics. The hanging sign bears a picture of Pickwick addressing the club, means of the hydrometer until the gravity of the electrolyte remains constant around 1.300 for a period of three to four hours.
