SHOWDOWN NEAR IN IRISH DEADLOCK
LONDON, Nov. 9.—A showdown in the Irish peace negotiations threatened today. The entire Ulster cabinet was en route to London from Belfast to meet Premier Lloyd George in a final effort to decide amicably the Ulster question and save England from the possibilities of dissolution of parliament and the resignation of the government.
IMAN MEETS YOUNG STANLEY KETCHELL
Big Jack Iman and Young Stanley Katchell will tangle in the feature event at Sparks' flint farm at the Friday night boxing show. Matchmaker Billy Darney has the signature of these two good boys down on paper to meet one another in the ring and settle their little dispute as to just who is the best man. Katchell put up a whale of a battle at last Friday's show against Johnny Meyer, holding the veternon to a well earned draw. Iman disposed of his man in two rounds via K. O. route.
Attho Jack will have the advantage in height, reach and weight, still Katchell on the other hand figures his longer experience and superior cleverness will more than offset. Local fans will be assured one thing anyway and that is, it will be a regular battle all the way. Both boys will be in tip top shape to set a fast pace, judging by the manner in which they are working out.
For the semi-windup, Darney will bring that fast little daddy, Young Burton and the Whittier flash, Joe Chaney, together again. Burton beat Joe to the decision a few weeks back after a torrid fight and Chaney has been after a etun match, ever since. Joe has been winning consistently since then and so has Burton but, while Burton has already beaten Chaney once and feels confident of repeating, still Chaney sweats to turn the tables next Friday evening and there are, not a few, but feel that he will do so. One thing certain, and that is, if their return meeting is just half as good as their first engagement, local fight bugs are certain of seeing another real thriller.
Bennie Heller, the slugging demon from Perris, meets a real little battler in Babe Flores from Los Angeles. Just tab this bout as one of the star ones of the night for when these two 118-pounders get to going why the fur is bound to fly. Flores is the only one so far that has secured a win over Heller at Heller's weight. They put up the real main event of the evening a couple of months ago over at San Bernardino, Bennie being declared on the loser's end. The decision did not met with the approval of a big majority of the crowd. A draw would Boy to work either school. One given opporent good, steady concern, M bottom.

A RUBERT
BANDINI HOPES FOR HEAVY PRODUCTION
Whittier and Santa Fe Springs
With the advent of the Union's big well at Santa Fe Springs the Bandinil Oil Co. has hopees of duplicating the well and believe it can be done as soon as the water has been cut off. Bandinil No. 1 was re-cemented last week to the perforations at 3600 and under pressure.
Drilling on the La Habra Midway is not making a record. However, the work is being done carefully. Drilling is now at 1800 in hard shale.
The Southern California Oil Co. is drilling out the cement in Sanderson No. 1 at 2345 and will be ready to resume drilling in a few days.
Drilling at 4495 Bastanchury No. 1 is not showing up very strong for a producer. Drilling is going ahead until something good shows up.
The Whittyl Oil Co. has gotten No. 5 back on regular production. The new well, is making 200 barrels at a depth of 2565. No. 6 is making hole at 2800 feet.
During the ten days that the Union Oil Co.'s phenomenal Bell well has been producing the oil has been going into the sump and no actual gauge of the well's capacity was available. Bell No. 1 is making 2050 barrels of 31 gravity oil. This big well now the greatest thing in oil in the west is producing the greatest quantity of oil at 31 gravity ever produced.
The Union Oil Co.'s Meyer No. 5 is close to 4900 feet. As the formation is not showing any oil a core is to be made of the formation a few feet further in the hope that it will show something.
The Scientific Oil Co. drilling a test well near La Mirada is making hole at 1455 and claims to be checking out a 100 feet shallower than the Union Oil's Bell well. Scientific officials are getting quite optimistic over their well.
The Nevada-Ventura Oil Syndicate is about rigged up and ready to spud in at Santa Fe Springs. This concern is a stock company backed principally by Long Beach capital.
The Standard Oil Co. has a rig up on the Brownrigg-Kellar lease and is budding in. On property belonging to the Los Angeles Security and Trust Company owner. L.H. care Plain Dealer, Anaheim.

THE TIME TO BUY ORANGE GROVES
Later on when twice the crop and prices for groves will advance. It has been so every year. Many groves will then be taken off the market.Others will be higher.Let us show you some regular paying groves. Will show packing house records. We won't let you buy a bad grove.
20 acres 2 year Valencias which we will subdivide in 5-acre tracts. The price is low.The finest and the best 20.4 acre orange grove that stands on God"a footstool. The foregoing is rather a broad statement but when I can produce figures which will show its financial power it must of necessity worthy of consideration If you are a citrus man the big trees,so radiant in health, thrifty in appearance, with an exceptionally heavy setting for next bearing will impress you.Every inch of soil is absolutely the best in Orange county.I have personally inspected this grove, and have failed to find a weak feature attached to this splendid acreageThis grove will show an earning power of over $1000 an acre for this year Then there is its wonderful location to be considered only three blocks from the new postoffice near the new city park,a block and a half from the Park View tract with the church on one street and the High School on the other.with a frontage on three streets.Just think what this will mean in a very short time.Cant you as a business man see the subdivision possibilities connected with this. The only reason this opportunity is offered is due to the fact that one of the owners is destroys of returning East You can purchase this wonderful grove at a very reasonable price.Just fumigated.
5 acres of 5-year-old Valencias that would do your heart good to see.The trees have an exceptionally heavy setting for next year, with every indication of sizing up well.Soil conditions fineThis grove is all pipedThere is a nice home, with garagewhich makes this proposition exceptionally attractiveWe doubt if there is another 5 acres which can compare with this.Anyone purchasing this beautiful grove will feel greatly satisfied especially when the fruit colors up.Better look into this before it is too late.

The Bell. The fact that the Union brot in Meyer No. 3 at 4595 the field's first producer a deep well caused operators to pay little attention to the formation until the well got down deep. Looking all the time for "deep stuff" it was easy to pass the showing claimed for the Anaigamated and Wilshire at 3700 and 3800 feet. It is hardly believed that there is anything to this idea although future developments may substantiate it.
