CROWD GROWS AT HIGHTOWER TRIAL REDWOOD CITY, Cal., Oct. 8.—A crowded courtroom attended the trial of William Hightower today. And while Redwood City buzzed over the mild sensations furnished at the session yesterday, William Hightower, accused of the murder of Father Patrick Heslin, slept peacefully in his cell in the county jail. One of the reasons for this renewed interest in the trial was due to the growing belief that "something will break soon." Judge Buck yesterday reprimanded one of the defense attorneys for an alleged statement in a restaurant where several of the jurors were eating lunch. CHEVROLET SALES RECORD FOR MONTH The Chevrolet is now listed at $675 delivered in Orange-co., which is almost $300 lower in price than during the period of the war. This information was given by Frank P. Taggart, dealer for the Chevrolet product in northern orange-co., and he also comes forward with the opinion that since so many new features have been added to the construction, offering additional comfort and refinement, the Chevrolet has practically eliminated all competitors and is outstanding in its class. Present indications give promise that the sales of this month will reach the peak for this period of the year, a substantial proof that motor car buyers appreciate the value offered in the Chevrolet. Officials of Yale classed "The Four Horsemen" as the screen's most artistic triumph, and gave the young genius a Bachelor's Degree of Arts for his efforts. The ceremony attending the honor was simple, according to officials of the Metro Corporation, who are here collaborating with Manager G. T. Ingram, in the presentation of the spectacle at the Grand. Rex Ingram was allowed to wear his graduation frock of the University of Dublin, and before officials of Yale, Metro, and a few invited guests, the award was given. Ingram classes this as the proudest moment of his life. Ministers of the Gospel, press and public have also classed "The Four Horsemen" as the screen's greatest achievement, it is claimed. Critics have raved over its merits, ministers have made rhetorical tributes for the production from their pulpits, and the public has turned out en masse wherever it has been shown. June Mathis, scenario writer, and John Seitz, cameraman, who worked with Ingram on the spectacles, have also received unstinted praise from institutions and individuals for their efforts. VIGOR OF YOUTH IN A NEW DISCOVERY Science Produces a Vitalizer Superior to Famous Gland Treatment—Magic Power of a Bark From Africa. Have you lost your youth, vigor and "pop"? Does life seem dull and work a grind? Don't worry. Science has discovered a new vitalizer superior even to the much discussed "goat gland" and "monkey gland" treatment. The principal ingredient is an extract frm the bark of an African tree. It is said to be the most amazing invigorator ever discovered. Combined with it are other tonic and vitalizing elements of proved merit. In most cases the compound produces marked improvement in a day or two, and in short time the vitality is raised, the circulation improved and the glow of health is felt in every part. The new vitalizer contains expensive chemicals, but manufacturing in enormous quantities has brought the cost within the reach of all. Furthermore, the laboratories producing this new vitalizer, which is called Re-Nu-Tabs are so confident of its power that they offer it on the basis of "no results, no pay." Any reader of this paper may test the new discovery without risk. Send no money, but just your name and address, to the Re-Nu Laboratories, 006 Gateway Station, Kansas City, Mo., and a full treatment of Re-Nu-Tabs will be mailed. Deposit $2 and postage with the postman on delivery. If not delivered by the results at the end of a week, notify the laboratories and your money will be refunded in full.
