20TH ANNIVERSARY OF WEDDING HELD
LA HABRA, April 30—Mr. and Mrs. W. Corbitt of Central Ave celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary Monday evening. The house was beautiful with pink roses and potted plants, ice cream and cake regaled the guests after a pleasant evening spent in games and music.
Those present were the George and Pearl Beer families, Mr. and Mrs. W. Hamilton, Dr. and Mrs. L. Chambiles, Mr. and Mrs. C. Laundour, Mr. and Mrs. C. Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. F. Mpore, Grant Sherman and Mrs. Eliza Sherman.
Mrs. Corbitt was the recipient of many handsome presents.
A jolly party surprised Mr. and Mrs. E. Reardon of Huntington Beach Tuesday evening. After an elaborate supper, the party consisted of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lunsden, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lewis, the S. Sorenson's, and Mr. C. M. Shirley and wife, with the surprises took a twirl at grunion fishing, returning to La Habra in the "wee sma' hours."
That La Habra was well represented by the A. C. of banquet at Fullerton is evident. The following were present from here: P. E. Proud, J. H. Walker, J. L. Wester, Ray Frants, Gus and A. H. Johnson, J. L. Ansley, George Young, W. L. York, H. E. Hart, J. G. and N. M. Launer, C. M. Glagier, G. Hilbert, Lee M. Hopper, R. C. Crumrine, Dr. Chambles, Grant Smith, W. Rhodes and F. W. Taylor.
The William Roberson family gave a surprise on their daughter, Mrs. Harold Peabody Tuesday night. Music and dancing whiled away the evening, after which refreshments were served. Those to be in the party were Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Robertson, Miss Happy Robertson, Stanley Davis, Unice and Myrtel Luitwiller, Mrs. J. Nair and son Joe, and Harold Robertson.

HONOR PERALTA BOY AT BIRTHDAY PARTY
PERALTA, April 30—Mrs. E. Harrison was hostess at another delightful party given in honor of their young son Master Lorrin last Saturday, who has reached the eighth milestone of his life.
The boys of the primary grades of the Olive school were invited to the lovely home of Lorrin where games that all boys enjoy were played, and last but not least a large birthday cake and ice cream cones were part-taken with great enjoyment.
Master Lorrin received some pretty remembrances. The afternoon speed swiftly by and was ended with each wishing Lorrin many more happily.
Master were Marvin Patrick, and Eden Burger, Emilie Boards, Pister, President Hilttott were association Sunday.

Several of the ranchers have been cutting barley this week.
Brigating orange cherries has been in full swing this week, weathering play of irrigation piles on the W. Dayne ranch is nearing completion.
O. Covell of San Luis Obispo who with Mrs. Covell has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Mott, returned home on Monday. Mrs. Covell experts to visit her mother in Garden Grove for a few weeks.
Mr. will Mrs. Kyrk and family spent the weekend in Santa Ana.
Mr. and Mrs. Bardwell and daughter Ruth visited in Whittler Sunday.
Mrs. Harbottle, mother of Mrs. Bardwell, who has spent the winter in California, left Tuesday for her home in Colorado.
Mr. and Mrs. Watson are spending a few weeks with relatives in Nebraska.

Mr. Knight was invited to the Johnson home to spend the evening and on arriving found some 25 neighbors present. Dr. and Mrs. Knight of Poinsett and Mrs. Knight Sr of San Bernal served.

PLACENTIA, April 30—The pulpit of the Presbyterian church was filled Sunday evening by D. Harry Gage of Coe College, Iowa, who is a brother of Rev. Gage, the pastor. His talk to the people of Placentia was greatly enjoyed by all who heard him. He is in the west on business for his college.
Miss Minter who has had an office in the Kraemer-bidg has gone to San Francisco.
Dale Marshall and Leta Thompson quietly slipped away to Santa Ana Monday and were married there. They will make their home at 111 Chapman-ave.
Clayton H. Landreth writes that his address will be 1315 E. Ville-st., Pasadena, until May 10, and then it will be Placentia.

The little bungalow at the corner of Chapman and Main is to be completed this week and the people who have rented it will probably move in Monday. This is being erected by Christian & Rideout on a lot leased from the water company.
The bazaar to be given by the laides of the Mothers' club will be held in the vacant lot between the shoe shop and the plumbing shop on Santa Fe-ave Saturday and from the preparations made promises to be a great success.
Miss Leona Smith who is an ex-pression leader in the chautauqua bureau and who is spending her vacation in Los Angeles, surprised her aunt, Mrs. Howerton, Tuesday by a visit. She is spending the week with her aunt whom she had not seen for 20 years.
Dr. W. S. McFarlane, a veterinary of Anaheim was a caller in Placentia Tuesday.
Mrs. Rideout and Mrs. Snell spent Saturday in Los Angeles.
Rev. Gage was a visitor in Los An., geles a few days the first of the week.
Mrs. Payne and her son, Ceell, are guests at the E. W. Payne ranch for the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Mott entertained a company of friends from Long Beach for the week-end.
Leroy Cox who has been sick with pneumonia for the past week is almost entirely recovered and is out and around again.
