Eddy and daughter, Catherine, were dinner guests, with Miss Culton and Miss Charters yesterday. James A. Baker, of the Lyon Realty Co., is completing extensive improvements on his ranch house west of Anaheim. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Fender, of Palm Ave., were guests Thursday of Mr. Fender's brother, J.B. Fender, and family, of Long Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Heil Benjamin and their mothers, Mrs. F.C. Benjamin and Mrs. H.P Barnham, will spend the weekend at San Diego. Mrs. H.E.Scott, who has been very ill at the county hospital following an operation two weeks ago, was reported a little better last evening. Charles Miller, who has been a guest for some time in the J.O.Dinnick home on Chestnut-st, will leave Saturday for his home in Gilroy, Calif. Mr. and Mrs.Hugh Bell and Mrs. Stella Happgood motored to Long Beach Wednesday, where they witnessed the presentation of "Way Down East." Fred Launenbach, of Los Angeles, was here Wednesday evening to visit with his wife, who has been ill at the home of her mother, and is slowly recovering. E.A.Collins has just returned from another 400-mile trip on the Lincoln highway in his new Dort, to Inyo, situated in a beautiful valley at the foot of the high Sierra paned on the trail. Mrs. Hoffy and Miss Carrie Carver, of Circleville, Kansas, were guests Wednesday in the home of Mrs. W. I. Poling, E. Center-st. The ladies are spending the winter in California. Mrs. Poling had the pleasure of visiting them in Kansas last summer. Mrs. H. J. Brock returned Thursday from Wasco, where she had been for several days visiting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. H. Tibbetts and family and also in the home of her son, Norvell Bock, and family. The latter, who have been living at Wasco for the past few months will arrive in Anaheim within the next few days and will make this city their future home. DAIRY DEPARTMENT MEN NAME OFFICERS An Orange-co representative of the board of directors of the Calif. Milk Producers' Association was the suggestion conveyed in a resolution to that organization following a meeting of the dairy department of the Orange-co Farm Bureau at Santa Ana. The resolution was presented by P. H. Krick.. It came as the result of the fact that this county was left out of the selection of members for the state milk producers' board B.P. CLUB PLANS VALENTINE PARTY BUENA PARK, Feb. 11—(Snl):—The Buena Park Woman's Club will give a valentine party Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Mrs. James Macklin, 11th-st. Plavan was suggested as the representative. J. T. Raitt was re-elected chairman. F. D. Plavan was elected vice-chairman and Steve Griset was chosen secretary. A new rate for cow testing charges was explained by W. A. Soden, county cow tester. This rate is based on a sliding scale. The minimum charge will be $4 for one day. For and number up to 40 cows the rate will be 25 cents each. For every five cows over 40 there will be a reduction of one cent per cow. This will mean 24 cents each for 45 cows, 23 cents for 50 and continuing on the sliding scale.
