The ANAHEIM GAZETTE Women's News ILA JONES Women's Editor Thursday, April 23, 1964 The Gazette—5 KEEPING UP WITH JONES By ILA JONES TOOK ME BACK TO MY childhood when I walked through the Southern Counties Gas Co. and Home Savings and Loan Exhibit Trailer. The authentic old stove brings back the memory of hot bread and freshly baked cinnamon rolls. We always knew if the windows were steamed over and smoke was rolling out of the chimney during the winter that Mother had been baking. We would run as fast as we could. I must be getting old but the ice box, wood burning stove and pump in the kitchen seemed just a little more comfortable than the gleaming modern conveniences at the other end of the trailer. Naturally, push buttons and all the gas appliances are great and a "must" in the life we live today and I suppose west coast. A night of entertainment at Melodyland is a real treat. ANOTHER ATTRACTION in the Anaheim area that really surprised but delighted my family and me is the MOVIELAND WAX MUSEUM. The wax likenesses are frightfully real. Alan Ladd, Clark Gable and Gloria Swanson are the most lifelike, but each figure looks like it might start talking at any moment. Of course, the children loved Dracula and Frankenstein and the darling Shirley Temple on the Good Ship Lolli-pop. I was surprised at the number of figures they have and we plan to return again. Pat Hitt To Address Republicans The Anaheim Federative Republican Women plan an annual membership to Tuesday, April 28th, from to five p.m. Robinsons' tea room will be the setting for the spring and fashion show.
