Three-Ring Circus is being sponsored in Anaheim by the Jr. Chamber of Commerce and is the big show's first California visit since 1947, during its current 45th annual nation-wide tour of the U. S. and Canada. Jaycees spokesmen stated. The circus grounds will be at Lincoln and Muller Aves; opposite the Anaheim Bowl, and the big show is scheduled to arrive there at daybreak Saturday morning from Santa Ana where it is exhibiting today and Friday. Immediately upon arrival, circus officials stated, the vast unloading and setting up of the huge "tented city" will take place. The tents rise into the air and tons of paraphernalia is unloaded. Elephants will be seen riding the circus workmen in the setting up chores. Circus officials added, by assisting in raising of the big top itself and placing of the heavy seat wagons. Traditionally local youths will be on hand to earn the time honored free ticket to the big show for their work efforts, the circus officials added. The Jaycees caution area residents not to confuse this big circus with a carnival or have been appearing locally the past few years, and they did the circus does not have any rides or carnival type attractions. "It will have a two and a half hour performance under the big tent, with top acts from many different nations and numerous wild animal acts in real traditionally American circus." This should be a real treat for area youngsters who have probably never before seen a real tented circus, and should also bring back many golden memories for the oldsters, the Jaycees added.
