Citing the complicated nature of the question before them, the councilmen agreed that it would be impossible to make a snap decision, and so delayed final action for two weeks. Anemia's Threat Increases AND DON'T IGNORE IT that celebrated tired - and down feeling, contrary to usual legend, is seldom the result of an overworked body or strained nerves. Even so, the seldom, the Orange Countyerculosis and Health Association reports, can it be thrown with a fast bottle of "health" or a feast of vitamin and stringy — may very well be showing the effects of a fad diet that depleted her body's supply of iron. But anemia can mean much more than a simple lack of iron. It is basically a deficiency of life - supporting red cells and of the oxygen-bearing red pigment of those cells called hemoglobin. Anemia may be caused by poor diet in the adult female; in the adult male it practically always indicates blood loss, blood destruction, or an underlying disease such as that of the kidney, the liver, or the thyroid. Possibly an infection, or even cancer. The reason is simple. That being may be a sign not of normal weariness or boredom, or a quite specific disorder known as anemia.
