Man 25 Faces Hit-Run Death Charge
Jimmy Don Moore, 25, of 2046 Mountain View St., must answer to felony hit-and-run charges as a result of the death of Mrs. Sharon D. Ross, 27, of Garden Grove, injured in a collision last Aug. 11 in Garden Grove.
Mrs. Ross was a passenger in a car that was knocked into the path of a third car which pushed head-on into the path of a fourth vehicle on Chapman Ave.
The first vehicle, which side-swiped the in which Mrs. Ross was riding, was driven hurriedly away.
The getaway car was abandoned a mile away and three occupants fled on foot. For a time Moore contended that the car had been stolen before the accident. Anaheim police, however, said he flunked a lie detector test and they were convinced he had recovered the car before the accident.

Girls, Moms Given YMCA Indocrination
An orientation to YMCA program was recently held for seventh grade girls at Fremont and Sycamore Junior High Schools, under the direction of Mrs. Beverly Fast, girl's program assistant. Participants included interested girls and their mothers, and the evening was spent exploring the potential of YMCA program for both groups.
Mothers met with Mrs. Nan Moore, YMCA Girl's program director, for adult orientation. The role of Parents as Partners with the YMCA was presented, and opportunity given to indicate areas of interest and willingness to serve as a volunteer.
Approximately 75 mothers and daughters attended the session.

Junior Ebell Plans Project
By Georgianna Johnsen
Members of the Junior Ebell Club of Anaheim are reminded of the various projects planned and under way and chairmen of the following:
Carol Roseberry, dean of chairmen reminds members that when bringing items to general meetings for the special chairmen, be sure to put the chairman's name and their own on the sack so as to get service points.
Special chairmen are requested to report now by the 20th of each month any information on their respective projects for the Bulletin and for board meeting. Always check the back of the room after General Meeting to pick up your collections. If you are absent, ask someone to do this for you.
Lynda Fee, Health Chairman, urges everyone to attend the Circus for cystic fibrosis to be held at La Palma park Oct. 18 and 19. Tickets are $1.00. A sign-up sheet will be at the November General Meeting for attending members to receive service points.
International Affairs chairman Ann Carlisle reminds members that this is the last call for Christmas gifts for Shizuko, the 13 year old Korean orphan.
Ann says, "She appreciates our packages so much and the most simple gift means a great deal to one accustomed to so little." Please try to bring a gift to general meeting for her. Also, bring old nylons to general meeting for the women in Japan.
