rs FE D RX Seice Ankeim --<05 Scouts May Go To World's Fair Northern Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America, in the Explorer units have been given the opportunity to send three contingents of Explorers to serve as Scout Service Corps during the 1964 World's Fair, New York City from July 22:29 and July 28 through Aug. 4, 1964. Duty during the fair is for seven days. Cost of participating is $25 per boy, plus transportation and tour. Jamboree Dates have been arranged to coincide with the National Scout Jamboree, Valley Forge, PA with time allowed for sightseeing in the historic areas in Pennsylvania and New York. Reservations for this event are taken at the Scout Headquarter, 1006 West La Palma Ave., Anheim, on a first come, first serve basis. Anaheim Thespians Play Lead in Little Theatre When "Come Blow Your Horn" was recently cast, three Anaheim townsfolk were given leading roles. The hilarious, fast-paced comedy, opening on Oct. 4 in Santa Ana, features Dr. Irwin Lawton, Sandra Klein, and Vivienne Maloy. All live in Anaheim and all commute to the theater on Fifth and Flower for rehearsals. They can be seen by their neighbors for three straight weekends, (Oct. 4-5, 11-12, 18-19) in this the first little theatre production of Orange County's season. The curtain rises at 8:30 p.m., and all seats are bargain priced at $1.50. Dr. Lawton, youthful dentist about-town, plays the gruff, tyranical Jewish father of two brothers; one a playboy, the other a nebbish. His wife, portrays delicateiy by Vivienne Maloy, not control his periodic rage. Only a future daughter-in-law vacious Miss Klein, pierces heart of this hard-shelled man. What results, when these two and the other cast members is one of the funniest, most hilarous plays ever seen in area. TWO HONORED Jean Eleanor Bollinger and Carl Michael Rooske of Anaheim are among 19 Chapman College freshmen to be awarded honors at entrance recognition for their outstanding high school achievement.
