Dona's Proves Aging Contribution to Beauty
With ten times this population now to serve, Mrs. Brown has rapidly increased her staff, equipment and facilities to keep pace with the demand for "The Lady's" our present young adult customers those who started out with us as children. With this sort of a prospect in mind we are doubly sure of our treatments for hair and skin so that the matured person will have every reason to wish to continue the attentions begun at an earlier age."
Mrs. Brown prides herself on owning the original beauty salon in Downtown Anaheim. She was graduated from the Anaheim schools and subsequently was employed by the Anaheim Citrus Fruit Association. During the years she was with this firm, Mrs. Brown said, she worked hard to save sufficient funds to invest in the beauty salon.
Her first venture was a shop located on what is now Lincoln Street from which she moved to her present address on Lemon. Helping her with arrangements s assistant manager and receptionist is Mrs. Phyllis Barco.
New Robertshaw Sensing Device
A new capacitance-actuated level control system with fractional-inch sensitivity and outstanding stability over broad temperature and line voltage variations has been introduced by Robertshaw's Aeronautical and Instrument Division at Anaheim.
The Level-Tek 305 instrument, a fixed-level sensing device, operates motor starters or visually indicated "flow-no flow" or "above-below" conditions.
The use of capacitance as a measurement standard, according to Robertshaw engineers, allows the system to be used with virtually any type of product.

VERIFY PATTERNS AND PREFERENCES — The choices of the bride as cared for in the big "Bride's Registry" proves a boon to shoppers who seek to please with matching patterns, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell declare.
Mitchells Show 'Sparkle' Playing Ahead of Times

One of the sparkling business houses of Downtown Anaheim that is this week observing its fifteenth year of business in the area is Mitchell's Treasure House of Gifts.
"Sparkling" is a good word to describe the appearance of Mitchell's as they specialize in china, glassware, and other tabletop needs. It is also descriptive of the Mitchells themselves as they enthuse over their plans to "keep ahead" of the times.
They are protagonists of the Downtown Anaheim association program of modernizing the district.
Mitchell's were among the first to modernize their store front, doing their remodeling in 1954 on the building they occupied at 239 West Center. In 1960 they moved to their present location at 158 West Lincoln for the advantage it gave for more display space plus the availability of a free parking space in the rear of the building for customers.
The Mitchells provide for Anaheim and Orange County shopper what they consider two important assurances.
The one is a bridal registry, begun 14 years ago, to help brides get just the right information to friends on patterns, colors and plans so that gifts will dovetail together toward establishing the best appointed home.
Brides fill out their complete wishes in the registry book which is then made available for the information of relatives and friends.
