In discussions with the downtown merchants, they have expressed the hope this special section will acquaint all with the variety of services and specialties available in the area and with special events that may feature buying advantages for the customers. The downtown merchants are making a concerted effort to demonstrate they are a “booming” area instead of a region only of past glory. William "Bill" Ballman, proprietor of the Broadway Avenue establishment has declared he intends to "help others celebrate with us by staging a giant sale." "We are going to let others enjoy good fortune, too." Ballman says, "by sharing our own fortunes in a meaningful sale." The store opposite the Anaheim WILLIAM BALLMAN cuts birthday cakes Post Office, although the location Auto Sellers Renew License California vehicle salesmen are required to apply during the month of May for renewal of their licenses to sell motor vehicles, the Department of Motor Vehicles advised today. Salesmen are licensed by DMV to maintain high personnel standards in this phase of the automotive industry in California. There are about 21,000 motor vehicles salesman employed in the state, the department reported. Salesmen may renew their licenses between May 1 and May 31. The department said salesmen cannot lawfully continue to sell vehicles after June 30 unless they renew their licenses. Post Office, although the location of his present 18-year-old business, is not the first venture for Ballman. He has been an Orange County businessman for over 30 years. "We feel our success in Anaheim, and throughout the county," Ballman declares, "is due in a measure to the fine service department we maintain as well as to the standards of merchandise we offer." The firm is a factory-authorized franchise dealer for a number of well-known brand names in the appliance and television fields. The present stature of the business, which Bill Ballman declares is well up into the multi-million dollar area, is a combination of frugal buying habits learned in the school of hard experience in his meager beginning days, help from a skilled and personable staff that has been developed over the years and the solid backing of "the finest people in Orange county," his customers. Ballmans have recently completed an expansion and modernization program at the store which provides more facility for inspection of items. Bill asserts, as well as improved flexibility for display and demonstration.
