The PTA reports there will be seven game booths with fishing,
bowling, beanbag toss and dart games among others, lots of refreshments plus an International Market of gift items, books and toys. There will be a Crazy Hat contest, a Best Costume contest
and a Little Girls' Hula contest, with awards for each. Polynesian dancers will entertain you.

Mrs. Frederick Rusch, outgoing Anaheim Assistance League president, on behalf of all the local group in recognition of
the outstanding service given by Mrs. Pearson while First Vice President of the National Assistance League. She was on
the national board for two, two-year terms. Mrs. Rusch, in presening the inscribed medallion, asserted Mrs. Pearson's
service "brought unusual honor to the Anaheim club."

The Fourth Annual Student Art Show is currently featured in the Art Gallery of Fullerton Junio r College and will continue until Friday, May 24, according to Mrs. Mary Y. Hodgdon, chairman of the Art Gallery and lead art instructor at FJC.
Artistic talents of students in classes of design, jewelry, ceramics, and other crafts are displayed effectively throughout the main and second floors of the Fine Arts Building. The Gallery contains paintings ranging from real life to abstract form, revealing the wide range of painting ability of FJC art students.
The Art Show is open to the public during the week from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. In addition, the Gallery is open from 7 p.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday for the convenence of those who cannot attend during the day.
Dennison C. Herring and Mrs Louise E. Crafts, instructors at FJC, are in charge of the displays.

Junior Ebell Graduation
Hospitality chairman, Mrs. Ralph Dix, has announced the Junior Ebell Club of Anaheim will hold its graduation luncheon on Saturday, May 18, at the Odyssey Restaurant, 1490 S. Los Angeles, Anaheim. The social hour will begin at 12:00, with lunch served at 12:30.
This is a sentimental time for both the graduates and members according to Mrs. Ann Sides, club president. A story on the lives and activities of each of the members will be told and they will each be presented with a certificate of graduation and a gift. Members to graduate are Mdmes. L. M. Dunn, Max Duncan, Joseph Bell, A. C. Cook, Robert Kelly, Carl Osowski, John Quetsch, and Jack Raines.
Six Colonists Win Art Honor
Six Anaheim artists captured recognition in the 4th Annual Art Show held by the Orange County’s Art Association in Garden Grove.
In the traditional category, Leslie B. Demille and Jim Crump both won Awards of Merit with Crump also taking a Juror's Award in the Modern Category.
In the latter category of the show Inge Leggio was also recognized, getting an Award of Merit.
A special category of Madonnas established by Hartfield's in memory of Mother's Day, saw Frank Paciorek of Anaheim win
Annual Student Art Show at Fullerton
Sunday Text Chosen
A Bible Lesson on the subject of "Mortals and Immortals" will be read this Sunday at Anaheim's First Church of Christian Science.
Golden Text: "This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality" (I Cor. 15:53).
Related readings from the Christian Science textbook by Mary Baker Eddy include these lines: "Either here or hereafter, suffering or Science must destroy all illusions regarding life and mind, and regenerate material sense and self. The old man with his deeds must be put off".
More than two-fifths of the nation's population are interested in the Veterans Administration because of their direct relationship to veterans.
State 'U' Women
The American Association of University Women will hold its Convention at the Disneyland Hotel this year from May 16 through 19 to culminate and consolidate the work of the year and to look to the future, so as its program among the Branches of the California State Division.
Although the Long Beach Branch is official hostess to this convention, the Anaheim Branch is sponsoring two special events of the program. The study of instructional television program in the schools has been a joint project with the Garden Grove Branch. This will be explained by means of film and discussion to the convention delegates. Mrs. Robert Reilly, Anaheim convention representative, will be co-hostess with Mrs. James R. Harmon.
A special speaker's bureau had been formed to send members to other Branches throughout the year to instruct and inform these Branches of the methods and benefits of instructional television. This work has been recognized by the presentation of the National and State AAWU awards to the Anaheim and Garden Grove Branches.
The ITV brief will be presented at the convention by a speaker's bureau member, Mrs. Harold McAferty. She will guide the discussion and answer period following the films. Assisting her will be a representative from the

The club members will be entertained by an opportunity to see a number of color photography slides of floral displays. They are being shown by Bob Routh of Bob's Camera Mart, Routh has lectured and judged at photography events as well as being an exhibitor of his own work.
Hostesses will be Mdmes. R. H. Beckler, Leonard Jones and C. C. Toms.
Winners at the annual Flower Show of the Garden Club were named this week with Mrs. S. K. Watters capturing first in Floral Arrangements and Mrs. A. Cranston winning in Floral Specimens division.
Judging the event were Mdmes. Chas. J. Hinckley, Sr., William Taylor and Roy Willis.
The show this year was conducted in the garden of Mrs. J. E. Craddock, 1111 St. John’s Place.
Record Air Cargoes
Western Air Lines air cargo revenues for the first quarter of 1963 reached a record $896,000. This compares with the previous record of $869,000 during the first quarter of last year.
The airline carried 2,681,000 ton-miles during the quarter, compared with 2,719,000 ton-miles during the like period in 1962.

Women Convene in City

On kinescope, Bill Stout of Channel 5 presents a one half hour documentary on the Ford Foundation ortaniza- tion. AAUW trusts it will benefit those who have studied this field by bringing them current ideas and those to whom the field is new, awareness of an unique edu- cational tool.
Lunchon has been arranged for this program by Mrs. David A. Reed, Jr., chairman, and transportation chairman is Mrs. Richard Hannawell, members of the Anaheim Branch.
The other special project undertaken by the Anaheim Branch at the convention is an official 2 hour tour of Disneyland. Members will assist the Disneyland guide with this group on Friday afternoon. Chairman for arrangements of this tour is Mrs. Arnold Pappas. The tour includes lunch-on aboard the "Pirate Ship" in Disneyland with Mrs. William Atkinson as chairman of the section, assisted by hostesses Mesdames Jay Griebel, Paul Hirsch and Paul Mareks. Working with the Long Beach Branch is tour reservations chairman, Mrs. Charles Downs. Approximately 1000 delegates are expected to attend this three day convention from all sections of California.
