Classes Set In First Aid The Anaheim Adult Education program, in cooperation with the Anaheim Chapter of the American Red Cross, has announced that starting Monday, April 15, a new course in Frsti Aid will be offered. This course will include the latest improved methods of both the prevention of and caring for, the injured and the eill. The class will meet for six sessions of two hours each. Raymond Lindow, Department Head for Health and Driver Education at Magnolia Senior High School, will conduct the class in room 59 at Magnolia High School, 2440 Ball Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. Upon the successful completion of this class a Standard Red Cross First Aid certificate may be earned. The fee for the class will be $1.50. Army Answers Girl’s Dreams, Kidder Relates High school women’s dreams can come true. Senior women, June graduates who seek specialized schooling and jobs may find the answer to their dreams in a recent Army announcement: from MSgt Buster Kidder, Anaheim Army Recruiting station head at 114 S. Los Angeles St. The Women’s Army Corps offers a range of thirty-nine diversified school programs for job specialization in a wide variety of major fields. Young women of the WAC welcome the equality of opportunity. Begonia Group Plans For Slides, Speaker The Orange County Branch of the American Begonia Society will meet April 11 at 8 p.m. in the Garden Grove Grange Hall, Century Blvd. and Taft St., in Garden Grove. Tony Todaro, a begonia grower and hybridizer, will show slides and speak on begonias. Refreshments will be served and a plant table featuring begonias will be available. Thanks to Miss Blythe's enthusiastic stimulation of writing, Orange County has hundreds of free lance writers, poets, authors and book lovers. Many have achieved professional fame and incomes. She helped develop several writers clubs. Her teaching career included a year in elementary, 15 years in junior high, seven years at Santa Ana high school, and a summer at Columbia Teachers College. She has traveled widely through Europe various summers and is a member of several professional groups, including Delta Kappa Gamma, women's educational sorority.
