Anaheim ‘Split’ Is Before Board The possible splitting of Anaheim between two county supervisory district was scheduled to be settled by the Orange County Board of Supervisors at their meeting late today. The decision on district boundaries has been before the board for some time and it is possible no final decision will be reached today. Anaheim has asked the board to define boundaries that will provide for Anaheim to be included within one district. It is the only city of major size in the county that is proposed for splitting between districts. In 3rd, 4th Areas The split would place part of Anaheim in the 4th District, now represented by William Hirstein, and the 3rd District, represented by William Phillips. The recommendations on the split were made to the county board last September when a special citizens committee made a report on boundaries which included the Anaheim division. The report was given consideration by the board but, without definite action until last December when outgoing board member Willis Warner moved the report be shelved until the newly elected supervisors could join the board and express their wishes on the questions involved. The board moved the report forward on the calendar until March 6. New Men Neutral The new supervisors, Alton Allen and David Baker, represent the 5th and 2nd districts and are not directly involved with the Anaheim dispute except as members of the board. Their districts will not be affected by whatever change is made for Anaheim. The Anaheim position has been expressed by city official as being neutral on the district just so long as it is within a single district.
