Garden Club To Hear Talk on Landscaping "Art in Residential Landscape" will be the topic of Robert Peterson of Jones and Peterson, landscape architects, of Anaheim at the meeting of the East Anaheim Garden Club in the home of Mrs. Robert Collins tonight at 8 p.m. Peterson will show slides of many Orange County homes which he and Jones have landscaped. This program will follow the business meeting conducted by Mrs. Donald Dailey, president. The guest-of-honor will be Mrs. Charles Hinckley Sr. of Anaheim. Mrs. Hinckley, an active member of California Garden Clubs, Inc., and one of the few master flower show judges in the country, will speak to the women on the organization of a flower show. Tompkins is expected to be among some 1,400 dentists and dental hygienists attending the 67th annual scientific meeting of the University of California Den. Mrs. Alex McDonald was introduced as the new Americanism chairman and conducted the City YMCA Week An atmosphere of growth and expansion marks the observance of National YMCA week (Jan. 27), as residents of Anaheim join with others across America to recognize the Young Men Christian association, according to Richard W. Gay, Anaheim Area YMCA president. A colorful induction of new members into new and existing tribes of Eastern and Western nations of fathers' and sons' YMCA Guide tribes is set for 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon (Jan. 19) at La Palma Stadium. Meets Friday The Fullerton-Anaheim Chapter of Parents Without Partners Inc. will meet Friday at 8 p.m. at the California Federal building located at Euclid and Crescent Ave. The topic will be "Income Tax Problems of the Single Parent." The speaker will be from the firm of Moye Graves, Bailey and Co. accountants. Parents Without Partners is a national organization for the benefit of the single parent, and their children. Regardless of whether single because of death, separation, or divorce, whether they have custody of their children or not, all single parents residing in Anaheim, Fullerton or the surrounding areas are welcome to attend.
