'Tri-Gents' Make Scoreboard By PAT CHICK Trident Junior High has an all boys organization called "Tri-Gents" which so far this year has worked actively to promote school spirit and give the members opportunity to work toward worthy goals. So far this year the gentlemen have contributed a scoreboard they made and donated to the school. They have sponsored after school dances every game night. A majority of school refreshments are sold by Tri-Gents, particularly at Friday night movies and at games. At Christmas the boys gave a tree to the school. They co-sponsored a Sadie Hawkins dance in October. John Longtin is president of Tri-Gents. Pat Mackie is vice president; Greg Petit, secretary, and Mike Conway, treasurer. Sponsors are Dick Hoffmaster, business teacher, and LaVerne Ratzlaff, math teacher at Trident. CHANGING OF THE GUARDS — Outgoing Orange County JACL President James Yamasaki of Anaheim on the left hands newly-elected president Minoru Inadomi of Santa Ana the giant gavel. The installation of officers takes place on February 2 at the Charterhouse Hotel in Anaheim. Process Now, Enter Later Program Open to Seniors A special "process now and enlist later" program is being offered in January to high school seniors, to include Saturday processing at the Los Angeles Armed Forces Examining Station on January 19 and 28, according to MSgt Buster P. Kidder, in charge of the U.S. Army Recruiting office, 114 South Los Angeles Street. Under this plan, the sergeant pointed out, the senior can complete all necessary pre-processing now with actual enlistment defended for up to 90 days following graduation from high school. On the day he processes, the senior is afforded the opportunity of reserving his choice of Army schooling, or choice of branch service, or oversea assignment. These options are guaranteed writing on a 3-year enlistment.
