Each classroom was given a "missle" placed on a flannel board chart. When program in membership on the chart reaches 90 per cent, they will circle their 'school world in orbit'.
All personnel will anxiously watch their instruments to see that the fight plans are carried out as planned. They will be in close contact with their space ship and Mrs. Reed will report all progress to the principal, William Thompson.
Anyone interested is invited to contact the school and become a member of the organization to aid the children and become better informed with their community.

A call has gone out for women to work as social welfare aides in the Red Cross program that assists the families of men in military service.
"We know from past experience that any increase in military activity will soon produce new problems in the families of servicemen and aggravate existing problems. Within days we can expect a rise in request for assistance," Mrs. Darby explained.
To be prepared to meet this anticipated demand for assistance, several Red Cross Chapters have joined together to train a new class of volunteer social welfare aides. The class will meet at the Red Cross Long Beach Chapter, 319 West Broadway.
The work of volunteer social welfare aides consists of reviewing requests for assistance, reporting on family circumstances in regard to emergency leaves or morale problems, getting information on family problems for social welfare aides do their work in the Anaheim Red Cross Cross Chapter headquarters at 418 North West St., where the director of Red Cross home service works with military installations throughout the world and the families of Anaheim servicemen.
"While any intelligent, dependable and perceptive woman can be trained as a social welfare aide, we are particularly interested in women who have college training or some background in social work, personnel work, teaching or community service work," Mrs. Darby said.
Volunteers who are interested in becoming social welfare aides may call the Red Cross Chapter headquarters, PR 4-3782, or they may call Mrs. Marjorie Darby at LA 6-1028.
