Announce 2nd Disneyland, Marineland MTA Routes
A second extension was announced today of the summer schedule for MTA's Marineliner service linking Disneyland, the Catalina Terminal and Marine Land.
The Line 127 summer route will remain in effect until Oct. 21, when a new winter schedule will become effective.
The service linking the funlands formally terminates Sept. 15, but has been extended twice because Portuguese Bend, Line 127 Marinelners offer connections with other lines in Long Beach, San Pedro and Wilmington.
Stops are made throughout the hotel-motel complex surrounding Disneyland and at other points on route, including connecting stops for buses from downtown Los Angeles.
The Line 127 service is in addition to the Disneyland Freeway Flyer Service provided from MTA's depot in downtown Los Angeles.

Carl Hatfield Jr. today announced the opening of his new public relations - advertising agency in the Fountain Professional building at 1077 West Ball Road, Anaheim.
Hatfield, veteran local publicist man, was formby co-owned of the public relations firm Hatfield-Miles & Associates. Prior to that, he served as public information officer for the City of Anaheim. David Collins, industrial-commercial realtor and owner of the professional center, said he was delighted at Hatfield's choice to locate in his complex.
Spotlights are being focused on what is to be a promising debut for the Experimental Theater of Orange State College in Fullerton. Under the supervision of Dr. James D. Young, 4 one-act plays will be performed starting October 25, through October 27.
Programming will include Eugene ONeil's, "Isle" — a psychological play in traditional manner; Thornton Wilders, "Happy Journey" — for runner of the famous play 'Our Town'; Eugene Ionesco's, "Bald Soprano" — a European experimental; and "John Doe", a Yale experimental play not yet produced.
Casting for the plays is as follows:

Meredith Willson Appears Oct. 12 On Don Campus
Meredith Willson and his wife Rini, famed for "The Music Man," will present the second program in the Santa Ana College Artist-Drama Series on Friday, Oct. 12, in Phillips Hall.
The musical couple will present "Mirth and Music" in which they play selections from their musical hits, recount highlights of show business, and provide varied entertainment. Willson is a philosophical Iowan who gives long hair music a hair-cut, taking the seriousness out of serious music.
Mrs. Wilson is a concert singer while Willson's "Music Man" added musical comedy to a long string of accomplishments. He is the erstwhile star of such radio programs as "Weekday", "The Big Show", "Evry Day" and "Meredith Willson's Music Room. He also is a prose writer.
The series opened last week with Richard Gray and Mavo Loizeaux presenting "A Wild Evening with Shaw" to a capacity audience, in which they highlight from the careers of Oscar Wilde and George Bernard Shaw.

Orange State Greets Faculty
A president's reception for the new and returning faculty members and their spouses of Orange State College was held Sunday, September 23, in the Guild-Hall-Windsor Room of the Green Brier Inn in Garden Grove.
Dr. and Mrs. William B. Langsdorf were the hosts of the reception, which included honored guests from the community, members of the faculty and their families, and officers of the Associated Student Body. Included among the invitations were members of the state legislature, the county board of supervisors, and the OSU board of supervisors.

Ann Snider of Anaheim has been named director of sales for the Charter House Hotel. News of her appointment came from Bernard Haering, general manager of the Anaheim Hotel.
"Miss Snider's enthusiasm and proven past experience made her our number one choice in a field of over 50 applicants", smiled Haering. Miss Snider, who was educated at Long Beach City College, UCLA, and the McGeorge mento fitaoinshrdlu Colleg. of Law in Sacramento fills the position vacated last month by Bill Thompson.

This was the third president's reception in the new college's history. The first affair hosted by the chief executive and his wife, Mrs. Eileen Langsdorf, was held in the Langsdorf's new home at Corona Del Mar, and last year's reception was an all-college gathering on the Fullerton campus of Orange State.
Over 200 guests were welcomed by the hosts at this third annual reception.

Reserved seats are still available for one of the most outstanding cultural series to be presented to the community by Orange Coast College.
Beginning in November, such well-known personalities as William L. Shirer, Dr. Ralph Lapp, Richard Armour, Vincent Price and the Roger Wagner Choral will come to the Orange Coast stage and the community.
All seats will reserve at the low price of $7.50 for the five performances which will begin at 8 p.m. Season tickets may still be obtained by writing to Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa. The college's 1200-seat auditorium is noted for its fine acoustics and visibility.
William L. Shirer, author and commentator, will be the first speaker to appear in the series on speaker to appear in the series on Monday, Nov. 12. His topic will be "Rusia and Germany, Keys to the Future." Shirer is the author of the best-seller, 'Rise and Fall of the Third Reich."
Dr. Ralph Lapp, scientist and author, will appear on the Orange Coast stage Monday, Dec. 3 to speak on the topic, "New World of Science." Dr. Lapp has headed the Nuclear Physics Branch of the Office of Naval Research, has been an advisor to the War Department General Staff and has served at the Argonne National Laboratory.
The modern master of light verse, Richard Armour, will brighten the stage on Wednesday, Jan 30 on the topic, "A Satirist Looks at the World." Armour is a professor of English at Scripps College and is known to millions of readers for his delightful humor.
OCC Plays Host To Speech Clinic
Orange Coast College hosted the annual fall speech clinic of the Pacific Southwest Collegiate Forensics Association last Saturday, in the school auditorium.
Purpose of the clinic was to discuss the professional explorations of the national debate topic, and to hear demonstrations of the individual events, in which forensic students may participate.
Featured speakers were Carol Huggins and Miles Eaton both social science instructors at OCC. They will explore the implications of the national debate topic, which is "Resolved: The Non-Communist Nations of the World Should Establish an Economic Community."
In addition, students from various colleges will give demonstrations of Oral interpretation, oratory, extemporaneous speaking, and impromptu speaking. There will be critiques of each demonstration by various speech coaches from the different colleges.
Expected attendance is approximately 200-300 students besides the speech coaches. Schools from all of Southern California and some from Arizona and Utah that are both two and four year col-

Reading on the air sample shows the following results: Wednesday, September 20, 6.2 micro-microcuries per cubic meter of air.
The Health Department began its air sampling program September 15, 1961 as part of a statewide monitoring program under the California State Disaster Office.
