SAC Starts 4th Year With San Coaching Station
Santa Ana College enjoys unique distinction of startling fourth straight football with an intact coaching staff.
Head Coach Homer Beatty over the Don Helm in 1958 assistants Bill Dutton, Moore and Russ Chesley. Back and as a bonus, they getting some volunteer help Orville Nellestein, Orange school varsity football coach joined the SAC physical education staff and as a wrestling assistant track coach.
Beaty came from Bakee College with the finest record in JC ball. The Dons second in 1859 and 1960; the title last year. Dutton five years as an assistant at the University of California Davis and played at Cali played at end and halfback the Washington Redskins. C spent 12 years in high coaching and is a graduate USC.

SAC Starts 4th Year With Same Teaching Staff
Santa Ana College enjoys the unique distinction of starting the fourth straight football season with an intact coaching staff.
Head Coach Homer Beatty took over the Don Helm in 1950, with assistants Bill Dutton, Myrel Moore and Russ Chesley. All are back and as a bonus, they are getting some volunteer help fromerville Nellestein, Orange high school varsity football coach, who trained the SAC physical education staff and as a wrestling and assistant track coach.
Beatty came from Bakersfield college with the finest coaching record in JC ball. The Dons finish second in 1959 and 1960, copped the title last year. Dutton spent five years as an assistant coach at the University of California at Davis and played at California. Moore graduated from Davis and played at end and halfback with the Washington Redskins. Chesley spent 12 years in high school teaching and is a graduate of SC.
OPEN SEASON — Servite High School, third place winners last year in the Angelus League, opened pre-season play Monday evening against St. Anthony's of Long Beach. Slate Charity Basketball Game At Anaheim High
A 25-game basketball schedule, including nine home games and two tournaments, awaits the formidable Titan basketball team as it prepares for its third year of intercollegiate competition. An extended between-semester trip to Seattle, Washington, and to several colleges and universities in Montana and Utah will add color and variety to the season’s plans, according to Ernest A. Becker, Dean of Students and Director of Athletics, who released the Fall schedule today.
“Nine games will be played at home,” he stated, “with the Fullerton Junior College gymnasium serving again as Orange State’s home base.” New to the list of Titan opponents will be the five colleges and universities included in the January trip. After a first game against Seattle Pacific College, Seattle, Washington, the local quintet will face two new opponents in Montana and two in Utah for a total five night stand.

Dentists who did the fitting for Fremont Junior High School were Dr.'s Martin J. Miller, Frederick A. Rusch and Kenneth D. Knowles.
