In pursuance of a resolution of the Board of Supervisors of the Orange County Flood Control District adopted April 25, 1962, directing this notice, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the said Board will receive in Room 215 in the Court House at Satna Ana on or before the hour of 10:00 A.M. of May 10, 1962 sealed bids or proposals for the construction of Fullerton Creek Channel, from Highland Avenue to Harbor Boulevard, including removal of an existing warehouse building at Harbor Boulevard (BID SCHEDULE A), and for the construction of Fullerton Creek Channel, from Highland Avenue to Harbor Boulevard including removal and reconstruction of an existing warehouse building at Harbor Boulevard (BID SCHEDULE B), all in the City of Fullerton, Orange County, California.
Bids must be made on the form provided for the purpose, addressed to the Board of Supervisors, Orange County Flood Control District, marked "Bid for Construction of Fullerton Creek Channel."
Bids will be received for BID SCHEDULE A (Bid Items 1 through 41) and for BID SCHEDULE B (Bid Items 1 through 42). In order to assure consideration of bid, the Contractor shall submit a proposal both after the Bid Scheduled The award of a contract will be made in the best interest of the District.
Bids shall be for furnishing all labor, equipment and materials in accordance with Plans and Specifications therefor for the following work:

The foregoing quantities are approximate only, being given as a basis for the comparison of bids, and the Orange County Flood Control District does not expressly or by implication, agree that the actual amount of work will correspond therewith, but reserves the right to increase or decrease the amount of any class or portion of the work, as may be deemed necessary or expedient by the said District.
All bids are to be compared on the basis of the foregoing schedule of work items.
Notice is hereby given bldders that in accordance with the provisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code, the Board of Supervisors of the Orange County Flood Control District has ascertained the prevailing rate of per diem wages for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract which will be awarded the successful bidder, to be as follows:
FOREMEN: All foremen not herein separately classified shall be paid not less than $2.00 per day more than the daily rate of the highest classification over which he has supervision. APPREN-TICES must be employed in conformity with Section 1777.5 of the California Labor Code.

The apprentice rate is by percentage of the journeymen's rate unless otherwise indicated.

The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties.
Provided that the not less than one and one-half times the prevailing rate shall be paid for any working time in excess of eight (8) hours in any one calendar day and for Saturday, Sunday and seven legal holidays, to-wit: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.
For less than eight (8) hours per day, the per diem rate shall be that fraction of the foregoing per diem rates that the number of hours worked bear to eight hours.
Provided that notwithstanding the general provisions contained hereagainst Guards, and Watchmen shall be paid not less than one and one-half times the prevailing rate for overtime (overtime shall be time worked in excess of eight hours per day or forty hours per week), and the straight prevailing rate for time worked on Saturday, Sundays, and holidays where such time does not constitute overtime.
Bidders' attention is called to the above mentioned Statute which will require them, if awarded the contract, to pay not less than said general per diem rate of wages forth in said resolution hereinafter mentioned, to all laborers, workers and mechanized employees in the execution of the proposed contract.
The bidder must submit with his proposal a satisfactory check certified by a responsible bank or a bidder's bond and payable to the order of the Orange County Flood Control District for an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the aggregate sum of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract if the same is awarded to him, and in event of failure to enter into that it is conducting a Plumbing and Heating Contracting, Sale Service, and Repair business located at 12826 Nutwood Street; Garden Grove, California; under the facilities first name of Plumbing Service and that such firm is composed of the following corporation, whose principle place of business is as follows:
