New Wax Museum Will Have Longest Premiere May 4, 5 Plans for the "world's longest premiere" to be staged as a Motion Picture Relief Fund benefit by the Movieland Wax Museum were announced today. The around-the-clock benefit opening on May 4-5 at the new $1,500,000 museum located at 7711 Beach Blvd. in Buena Park. Entire proceeds from the day-and-night event will go to the Relief Fund, Hollywood's all-industry organization for caring for its own, George L. Bagnall, president of the fund, and Allen H. Parkinson, museum president, said. The marathon Hollywood-styled premiere will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, with an invitational showing for stars, representatives of all branches of the film industry, civic, social and business leaders. Doors will be opened to the public at approximately 9:30 p.m., and the premiere will continue through the night and the next day until Saturday midnight. The museum's 70 wax likenesses of motion pictures and television favorites will be shown in scenes from their most notable performances. Personal appearances and other events are being scheduled to "keep the show going" throughout the 30-hour period of the premiere. Spring Party Plans Discussed by Guild The regular meeting of St. Agnes Guild was held at the home of Mrs. James L. Walters when spring party plans were discussed. Tickets for the dessert-bridge were distributed for sale by the members, at a cost of $2.50 each. The program was presented by Mr. and Mrs. George Wheat who showed color slides of their trip to Africa. New members installed were Mrs. Jeanne Mitchell and Mrs. Hilda Steen. Hostesses for the evening were: Nancy Fults, Lucille Borden and Minnie Reagan.
