A full schedule of attractions for Southland visitors and residents is led this week by the California Mid Winter Fair and Festival of Nations in Imperial and World Flower and Garden Show in Los Angeles. Here is the calendar of events in the region for the period Mar. 1 through 11 as compiled by the Automobile Club of Southern California. ALTADENA: "An American Odyssey" is presented by Theater Americana in Farnsworth Park, 8:30 p.m., Mar. 7 through 10. ARCADIA: Thoroughbred racing season at Santa Anita ends Mar. 10. The San Gabriel Valley Camellia Show is Mar. 3 and 4 in the Lecture Hall of the County Arboretum. Over 3,000 blooms are expected to be on exhibit. CLAREMONT: "Amigos de Michoacan" is current Padua Hills Theater attraction. IMPERIAL: A rodeo, horse show, stage show and auto races are featured attractions during California Mid-Winter Fair and Festival of Nations, Mar. 2 through 11, on the Fairgrounds. LONG BEACH: The latest in building materials, appliances, furnishings and products for the home will be on display at the annual Home-O-Rama, current through Mar. 4, in Municipal Auditorium. Playtime, daytime and evening wear will be featured during the Tenth Annual Red Cross Festival of Fun and Fashion Show, 8 p.m., Mar. 6, in Municipal Auditorium. LOS ANGELES: Schedule in Philharmonic Auditorium is as follows: Pianist Van Cliburn is featured in concerts, 8:30 p.m., Mar. 1, 2 and 8 and 2:30 p.m., Mar. 9 with George Szell conducting; Marian Anderson is featured in concert, 8:30 p.m., Mar. 3; Igor Oistraskh presents the program, 8:30 p.m., Mar. 7; Andres Segovia is featured in concert, 8:30 p.m., Mar. 9 and Birgit Nilsson is presented, 8:30 p.m., Mar. 10. Philharmonic Orchestra's Promenade Concert, featuring soprano Marilyn Horne and baritone Earl Wrightson, is in the Shrine Auditorium, 8:30 p.m., Mar. 3. "Celestial Colors" is current display at Tower Gallery. The Hans Burkhardt Retrospective exhibition is current display at Municipal Art Gallery through Mar. 11. "Recent Acquisitions," an exhibition of outstanding historic costumes and textiles, is current featured exhibit at County Museum through Mar. 20. The Pearl Kaufman Ensemble provides the chamber music program, 3 p.m., Mar. 4, and the Mar. 11 program features the Lyric String Quartet. World Flower and Garden Show, with cut flower and garden equipment exhibitions, is in Pan Pacific Auditorium current through Mar. 4. Annual International Sports, Vacation and Travel Show, featuring sports exhibitions and vacation exhibits, is in the Sports Arena and Coliseum Mar. 2 through 11. Wyoming State Picnic is Mar. 4 in Sycamore Grove, Colorado State Picnic is there Mar. 11. OCEANSIDE: Annual Sports-fishing Derby is current through April 6. PASADENA: "Everybody Loves Opal," starring Zasu Pitts, is current presentation in Pasadena Playhouse. Tenor Brian Sullivan is featured in concert, Mar. 10 Auditorium with Rich conducting. At Harrah's Frank Gorshin, starred in Allied Artists' "The George Raft Story," opens an engagement at Harrah's Club, Lake Tahoe, on Ma. 15. Western High School Students The sponsors of the California Scholarship Federation at Western have just released the list of students earning the honor of Seal Bearer, chosen for their academic achievement, leadership ability and citizenship throughout their high school years. They are Julie Deck, Barbara Duke, Jane Gesler, Frank Hatanaka, de Ann Martin, Mary Muzikar, Nadine Nagel, Elizabeth Pretzer and Diana Akers. Three other students may qualify in June if they maintain active membership in C.S.F. and if their June grades meet the required standards. Final plans for the broadcasts of the 1962 Los Angeles American League Baseball games over 50,000 Watt KMPC and outlets of the Angel Radio Network are being firmed at this time, according to word released this week by KMPC executive vice president and general manager Loyd Sigmon. place each of the three times they competed.
