Trident PTA In First Place
A "Get Acquainted" program was the feature of the first meeting of the season for Trident Junior High School's Parent-Teacher Association.
Clayton Wardell, principal, introduced his staff and office workers to the parents and their friends.
Mrs. Orvin Coombe, president, has named the committee chairmen who will serve on her board. These include Mrs. Melvin Bridge, inside publicity; Mrs. Vincent Spingola, outside publicity; Mrs. Robert Halstead, music, arts and posters; Mrs. Harvey Walk, honorary life; Mr. and Mrs. John Drummond, hospitality.
Area hospitality-co-chairmen will be Mrs. Don Arnhardt, Clare Barton School; Mrs. Don Creus, Katella; Mrs. Robert Neet, Francis Scott Key; Mrs. Russell Eckenboy, James Madison; Mrs. Paul Ridenour, Palm Lane.

St. Anthony Sets Fall Fashion Show
"Paris Scene" is the theme selected for the annual luncheon-fashion show sponsored by the Council of Catholic Women of St. Anthony Claret parish in Anaheim. The show will be presented Oct. 7 at 12 noon in the banquet room of the Anaheim Bowl.
Both professional and amateur models will show the latest in Paris-inspired fashions. A $100 merchandise certificate and many beautiful door prizes will be awarded during the afternoon.
Mrs. Eugene Chizek is general chairman of the affair. Other members of her committee are Mrs. aymond Browne, ways and means; Mrs. Gordon Boden, reservations; Mrs. John Ahern, programs; Mrs. R. E. Campbell, raffle; Mrs. Harold Young, door prizes, and Mrs. Robert Anderson, publicity.

Tickets Still Available for Agnes Moorehead
Tickets to the Agnes Moorehead show to be presented tonight at the Orange Coast College auditorium are still available, contrary to other reports circulating.

Miss Moorehead is appearing in "That Fabulous Redhead" performance in which she will give her own inimitable readings of Thurber, Proust, Shaw and the Bible.
Izaak Waltons Set Ladies' Night
It will be Ladies' Night at the regular meeting of the Izaak Walton League of America tonight and a dove dinner will be served.
The affair begins at 7 o'clock in the Ike building.

Ikettes Initiate Six New Members
Initiation of six new mem-bers highlighted the program of the meeting of the Anaheim Ikettes held at the La Palma Youth Center.
Following a chicken dinner, the short ceremony consisted of instructions to the new mem-bers on the Izaak Walton League's aim in the conservation of woods, water, wildlife, soil and air.
Heading the initiation team was Mrs. Frank Wick, assisted by Mrs. Martin Willis, Mrs. Dick Martin, Mrs. Les Main-waring, Mrs. Bill Wick and Mrs. Lyle Diggins.
Initiated were Mrs. Harold Aldridge, Mrs. Arthur Franz, Mrs. George Jeffers, Mrs. Bruce Newton, Mrs. Fletcher Cockreham and Mrs. E. B. Chambers.
Following a short business meeting, all enjoyed a card game, Mrs. Sam Love and Mrs. Fletcher Cockreham tying for high score and Mrs. Jack Main-weller, the booby, Mrs. George Jeffers won the jill-pot, Mrs. Frank Alley the door prize.
Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Ralph Bartlett, Mrs. Wayne Held and Mrs. Eleanor Redman.

Two courses will be given at
7:30 p.m.: "How to Read Hebrew in Eight Easy Lessons"
by Rabbi Aaron J. Tofield and "Intermediate Hebrew" by Cantor Philip Moddel.
From 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. the following two courses will be given: "Justice and Judaism"
led by Rabbi Aaron J. Tofield "Reading the Bible in English" and Mrs. Zachary Howitt, and
by Cantor Philip Moddel.
The committee on arranments for the Institute is headed by Dr. Milton K. Borenstein
of Anaheim. Mrs. Joseph Furber of Santa Ana is registrar;
Mrs. Martin Rhodes of Anaheim is secretary, and Sam
Rome of Garden Grove is chairman of the Beth Emet Board
of Education. Mrs. Israel Gorin
heads the Temple's cultural
fellowship.
Those who cannot come to
the Temple office for pre-regiistration, or register by mail,
will be able to do so on Monday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m., a half
hour before the first session.
