A-6—Anaheim Gazette Anaheim, Thursday, Sept. 14, 1961 Improved Tires For 1962 Cars Large-scale production is now under way on a new low-profile tire for the 1962 model cars. Displayed here by pert Pamela Stone, the tire, called the U. S. Royal Safety 800, features 18 quality improvements for longer mileage and safer, high-speed turnpike driving, and a new five-row tread for greater road grip. Its low-profile design, which makes the tire wider than it is high, results in cooler running, reduces its power consumption and gives it added stability. The tire is being made at United States Rubber Co. plants in Detroit, Los Angeles, Eau Claire, Wis., and Chicopee Falls, Mass. It will feature a monthly newsletter "in depth", containing a complete resume of political developments at the federal state and county levels; quarterly luncheon meetings, with speakers of national renown; and special research facilities to assist in candidate development and selection. Through the medium of Republican Associates, the business and professional community may actively support their party, both financially and with such special projects as election day "Victory Squads", it was pointed out by Chairman Key.
