Making arrangements in advance of need will ease the burdens placed upon loved ones. Let us explain the simplicity of our before-need program; either in our office or in the privacy of your own home. LA PALMA at EUCLID, ANAHEIM Prospect 2-1617 Comment (Continued from Page 1-A) looked. We seem to be riding a winning horse at the moment, and we must keep it that way. The Associated Chambers of Commerce of Orange County has taken a stand in opposition to HR 6028 and HR 6433, two federal bills designed to expand the authority of the federal government in urban redevelopment programs. The Associated Chambers takes the position that present community development laws are adequate; that extension of government control and subsidies will hurt the free market system; that government intervention is not the best way to stimulate community development; and that businessmen should consistently support local responsibility for community development programs. Your Committee endorses the Associated's stand on HR 6028 and HR 6433 and urges you to OPPOSE these measures. Let your Congressman and Senators know. The Committee has taken a position opposing the restoration of funds for the United States Information Agency, recently cut by Congress. The Committee has taken a position opposing the restoration of funds for the United States Information Agency, recently cut by Congress. We feel that it is the responsibility of USIA to project a favorable image of American culture, society and economy to foreign nations—but that the agency under Edward R. Murrow has frequently attempted to degrade rather than to upgrade the American image, through such films as "Harvest of Shame", attempting to portray a nation of slave labor. Your Committee recommends that Chamber members join in opposing restoration of funds to USIA and that the Chamber Board invite other Chambers of Commerce in the County to consider such action. Your Committee would like to emphasize the importance of continued Chamber activity in the legislative area. The state legislative session is over—but already the battle lines are being drawn and preliminary skirmishes are taking place that will have important effect upon the next session. We must stay alert! Respectfully, G. H. Bishop, chairman returns to a Los Alamitos "Weekend Warrior" squadron for the balance of 7½ years reserve duty.
