The Officers and Directors of the California Funeral Directors Association have set May 1st, 1961, as the date after which no member of the Association may use a price in any advertising. The use of price advertising or any other type of advertising conflicting with the C.F.D.A. Code of Ethics will result in suspension or revocation of membership in C.F.D.A.
This date has been set so that members will be able to conclude certain contracts without hardship and certainly is not to be construed as condoning this type of advertising in the interim period.

School Fiesta Scheduled
An outstanding array of free entertainment, headlined by The Lancers, nationally known recording quartet currently appearing at the Anaheim Bowl, will highlight the annual St. Anthony Claret Building Fund Fiesta in Anaheim Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 19-21.
The Lancers will appear in person at the Fiesta Friday night. Saturday and Sunday entertainment will be provided by Barbara and Sylvester 'Hank' Braun, longtime residents of the Anaheim area, who promise thrills and chills with their exciting demonstrations of rope spinning, knife throwing and bullwhip snapping.

Outstanding animal and clown acts have been scheduled throughout the full three days.
The annual fund raising affair will be held at Buttonwood and E. La Palma, will feature games, rides, booths and a wide variety of attractions for all ages.
Friday events will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday the fun will start at noon and run continuously to 10 p.m.
Fish and chips will top the Fiesta menu Friday evening. The Sunday dinner will feature delicious baked ham, Hot dogs, hamburgers, Spanish dishes and other fiesta delicacies will be available every day.
All proceeds will go to the St. Anthony Claret School Building Fund.
Prizes to be offered include a completely equipped Ford pickup truck mounted with a Deluxe Travel Queen Camper and a 1961 Pontiac Tempest sedan.
A Kindergarten roundup and registration for all Anaheim children who will attend kindergarten classes in the Anaheim City Schools next year will be held next week in all of the schools of the district beginning Monday, May 22, through Friday, May 26, between 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., school officials announced today.

Kindergarten Signups Slated
All parents planning to enter their children in kindergarten classes of the district next September are requested to register their children at this time.
Registration is necessary now so that pupils can be assigned to classes, teachers can be employed and assigned, and a careful estimate can be made of the number of kindergarten pupils for whom the District must provide classes and instructional facilities next September.

Forum To Open
The Orange County Freedom Forum will open its first county book store between the hours of 1 and 9 p.m., Saturday, May 20, with a formal celebration at the store's new location, 816 N. Harbor in Fullerton, according to a spokesman for the Communism fighting group. Each one who attends will be served refreshments, receive a free copy of "The Constitution" and be eligible for a drawing on door prizes.

The Ben Franklin Store, located at 150 W. Center St., is going out of business and will conduct a "farewell sale" starting tomorrow at 9:30 a.m., it has been announced by the owner, Max D. Anwyl.
The sale will be operated by Stevens Company. Everything will be sold out at cost, near cost and below cost, including fixtures. The store will be for lease.
In his statement, Anwyl did not announce his future plans.
Peek To Receive State Board Appointment
Lon Peek, owner of Peeks Colonial Funeral Home, 7801 Bolsa Ave. will be appointed to the Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers it was learned from an authoritative Sacramento source today.
Announcement of the appointment by Gov. Edmund G. Brown will be made this week it was learned.
Peek has been active in both Orange County and Los Angeles County civic affairs for many years and his appointment will be hailed by his large number of friends in this county and Long Beach where he operated a mortuary for many years.
Peek Family Colonial Funeral Home is conducted by Peek and his wife Marnette. Their home is situated in the center of a 50-acre ranch in Huntington Beach.
