College Tells Expansion Plans Expansion plans for the Orange Coast Junior College District as recommended by the just-completed Study of Junior College Needs of Orange County have been given the green light by the OCC board of trustees. The two-point expansion program calls for increasing district boundaries to include Garden Grove, Laguna Beach and Capistrano high school districts, and building a second campus in the district. Maximum enrollment at Orange Coast would be set at 5000 full-time students. To initiate the first point of the expansion program, the OCC board of trustees will contact the boards of trustees of the three high school district sin April to discuss the possibility of them joining the OCC district. On the district expansion, the proposal would be put to a vote of the people in the three affected high school districts in October. The election, if called, would present a package deal covering enlargement of the district to include the three named high school districts, a 20-year nominal over-ride tax for building, establishment of seven trusteee election areas and election of the seven trustees, and a re-organized district to become operative July 1, 1962. A majority vote would carry the election. How many times has this man saved your life? Like most of us, when the kids are in the car, you get that "extra careful" feeling. You know, that's the same way your friend—the service station dealer—feels when you stop by to see him. Over the years, you've probably come to take your service station dealer pretty much for granted. But when your kids are riding with you, aren't you glad you took his advice and had your brakes checked? His suggestions—small though they may seem to be—may have saved your life more than once. His interest in your safety is more than interest in a customer—it's concern about a friend. And what a valuable "extra" if your own service station gives you S&H Green Stamps. You know, of course, that half the families in America save them. Your S&H Green Stamps make it possible for you to choose from over 1,500 top-quality, famous brand-name items at your S&H Green Stamp Redemption Store.
