The Woman's World SECTION B, PAGE 1 Beta Sigma Chi Founders Day Fete Tonight Chi Pi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority will meet tonight at the Revere House in Tustin to celebrate Founders Day, Mrs. Percy Hildebrand, 731 Dover St., retiring president, has announced. Hostess of the recent March meeting was Mrs. Charlesenter of 1602 Hampstead St., assisted by Mrs. Fred Ferguson. Mrs. Senter introduced Charles Jeanette who entertained the group with movies of the 1960 Winter Olympics at Squaw Valley. The election of 1961-62 officers was held with Mrs. John Ragan named as president. Also elected were Mrs. Charles Moroni, vice president; Mrs. Henry Lestmann, treasurer. Church Is Scene of Nuptials Miss Joan Moshenko, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Moshenko of Buena Park and William Todd, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Todd, Jr., son of Mr and Mrs. William Todd of 9811 Harle St., recited their wedding vows recently in the First Baptist Church of Anaheim, the Rev. Gerald Grotey officiating. The bride and groom are both graduates of Anaheim High School and are students at Fullerton-Junior College. Following the ceremony the newlyweds greeted friends and relatives at a reception in the Cypress Kiwanis Club. After honeymooning in Las Vegas, they will reside in Stanton. Mrs. Loomis Is Chosen Leader Of PTA Group Mrs. Robert Loomis of 426 Resh St. was elected president of the Horace Mann Parent Teacher Association at a recent meeting. Mrs. Frank Christian presided. Also chosen as 1961-62 officers were: Mrs. Philip Ackley first vice president; Mrs. Norman Williams, second vice president; Mrs. Robert Dressendorfer, recording secretary; Mrs. Donald Langlois, treasurer; Mrs. Don Burton, auditor; Mr. Rod Parsons, historian, and Mrs. W. J. Siemens- corre sponding secretary. Guest speaker was Mrs. Virginia Kidder, music consultant for the Anaheim Elementary Schools. Her topic was "It Music to Your Ears." Baptist Ladies Missionary Unit Holds Election Holding their annual election of officers recently, the Bethel Baptist Woman's Missionary Society met at the church with Mrs. Clarence Schneider, outgoing president, presiding. New officers include Mrs. Albert Urbigkeit, president; Mrs. Millie Remland, vice president; Mrs. Reinhard Kwast, recording secretary; Mrs. Enrhard Hartmann, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Joe Quast, treasurer; and Mrs. August Litz, assistant treasurer. Also elected were: Mrs. James Fallon, song leader; Mrs. Glen Porter, assistant song leader; Mrs. Joe Love pianist, and Mrs. Frank Cole, assistant pianist. Conducting a panel on "The National Woman's Missionary Union," Mrs. Walter Gooden showed a colored map of the nine North American Baptist mission fields. Church Sewing Group Elects The Dorcas Circle of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 1521 W. Orangethorpe Ave., met Tuesday morning with newly elected president Mrs. William Corteal presiding. Other new officers include Mrs. Bernard Stodola, secretary, and Mrs. Albert Filitti, treasurer. In the brief time that the sewing group has been organized the members have completed more than 100 bandage rolls and more than 50 gowns, made from men's old white shirts. The first completed box will be mailed to a leper colony in the African mission field. GOP LADIES MAP ANNUAL MEMBERS TEA To complete invitations and name tags for their upcoming membership tea, members of the Anaheim Federation of Republican Women gathered at the home of Mrs. William E. Fort Jr. this week. Mrs. John Phipps, 1557 W. Katella Ave., will hostess the annual event in her home, April 11. Three AHS Girls Win Honors in Typing Tests Norma Moran, Doreen Wesolosky and Caren Kerahan, Anaheim High School students, recently won class medals and honors for their participation in the second National Facit Accuracy Contest in Typing. The three girls entered competition with more than 210,000 students throughout the nation. In addition to winning the medals Miss Wesolosky and Miss Kernahan were selected by Facit, Inc., of New York, to compete in their regional contest. Doreen, a sophomore, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wesolosky, 705 Victor St. Caren, also a sophomore, is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Earl Kernahan, 519 Pine Way; and Norma, a senior, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Cunningham, 1422 Elm St. Typing instructor and advisor to the coeds is Dee Cox. Twins Enjoy Easter Party Several dozen sets of young twins were on hand Sunday to accept Easter baskets from an Easter bunny when members of the Central Orange County chapter of the Mothers of Twins Club sponsored an Easter party in Pearson Park. Mrs. Alan Fisher, 322 Bel Air St., was chairman. Next meeting for the club will be on April 5 in Honold's Hut, Garden Grove, at 8 p.m. The organization was formed for the exchange of ideas on the rearing and care of twins, the exchange of clothing and twin equipment and to provide a social outlet for the members.
